I am intrigued…does anyone know who the gallops and schooling grounds beside the M6 belong to ? I drove past them over the weekend and don’t remember seeing them before. There’s about half a dozen hurdles and an up-hill gallop.

Can’t quite remember between what junction they were but I’d hazard a guess and say that they were near Stoke/Staffordshire area.

It is John Stimpson’s yard you can see by M6 around Jnct 15/16. Now has Barry Leavy as his assistant.
Lot of investment in the yard though they were not the best placers of horses prior to Leavy’s arrival but that may now change.

Merry Xmas to one all and all the best for 2008.
