I always read this forum and wanted to create my own paper system to see if I could refine it to something useful.<br>I know that I always notice if a horses form is ‘ascending’ when I glance at the paper so my rules are: (starting off simple – will refine them over time)<br>1. Form of last 3 races must be improving eg: 4 4 2, or F 5 2. (being brought down is ok, a F or UR is not ) – so form that read 2 F 1 would be discarded. <br>Obviously 111 would be considered.<br>2. The last race must have finished in first 4. (so form of 9 8 6 would not count)<br>3. Anything that as a X against abiltiy on the going is ruled out (using RP site for that info)<br>4. Must ahve run in last 40 days<br>5. Only handicaps – NH<br>6. Take the top weighted if more than 1 selection.<br>7. Back EW over 6-1 (forcast on RP)
Very crude I know but I shall welcome any suggestions for extra rules – it’s a start.
Retrospectivly if I had done it today would read:<br>12.45 catterick – Mister Chisum – 1pt – Lost<br>1.45 catterick Woodfield Gale – 1 pt – Lost (2nd 11/4)<br>2.45 catterick – Log on intersky – 1 pt – 1st 7/4
Plumpton 1.35 – Bush Park – 1 pt – 1st 7/2<br>2.35Micheal’s princess – 1 pt – Lost
Days total 5pt bet<br>Win 7.25<br>profit 2.25

Keep it going for a while Sacha and dont get stuck in the mud. If you get bored with it, change it, only a bit at a time though, you’ll find that some filters work and some dont. As the Bishop said to the Actress, play around with it, if it gets too hard, leave it alone…….<br>:smiley:

If anybody notices any flaws in my calculation please say – I have assumed 1/4 of the odds for ew – does that seem fair?<br>well the first two days have been fun, but if i’d put real money on they would have fallen at the first!!

Hi Slasher….. the last thing you need to worry about is losing runs. Your bound to get loads of bad hair days but with the prices your getting, you’ll eat ’em up and spit ’em out. Your bank is big enough to take a broadside and it wouldn’t even scratch, you just keep banging ’em in….. this little systems corner is really starting to motor…..  :biggrin:
