Putin is a dictator. But he also realises that Trump is a loose cannon that is capable of anything so I can only hope that he and the rest of the world treads carefully (which I think is what happened when he was president last time). As a total pessimist I have to believe this, otherwise I’d be absolutely terrified of what this could lead to.

No problem with that as I think it is critically important that we are able to freely share our views on racing and other matters without fear or favour. I would add that if you haven’t seen or read the JD Vance address to our European political class at Munich last week, then I can highly recommend it. Puts the whole Russian threat thing to our way of live into a whole new context, though please don’t shoot the messenger. PS I am not a Putin Fanboy.

Overthelast, I watched Vance and it was noticeable to see the general uneasyness within the room that someone was calling these leaders out. I am very pleased they got to hear some home truth’s from someone in authority, who not mainly on here but many echo within this land.
Just how do people think this war will end? It’ll go on for years as it is, many more million’s will die if people are happy with that, the stakes will become higher and there’s an increasing chance of WW3.
It’s funny or rather sad that Trump is trying to solve a problem the left have no idea how to, just keep arming Ukraine is their motto, just where is the end game?
Now, there’s just a chance there maybe one being unfolded in the coming days and if that ends the insanity and the killing, that’s acceptable in my mind.

Is that the speech where he was lecturing Europe on ‘free speech’? He might like to get his own house in order first before criticising others given that his boss is doing rather a lot to restrict the free press. Think I’ll pass on that one.
I’m getting sick of all this Europe vs USA nonsense to be honest. It’s the last thing anyone needs on top of all these wars (plenty more going on than just the Middle East and Ukraine by the way). Global co-operation in literally everyone’s interest. Conflict, be that military or trade benefits almost nobody. It’s all they know though, when have any of these politicians got anything positive to say? It’s just constant negativity and stirring things up.
