I’m sick of companies that offer special terms and conditions for one group of customers but not all. Why should anyone be loyal to an organisation that decides other customers are more worthy of a discount?

I’ve received an email from Racing UK this morning offering 6 months for £15 a month. I read the email clearly from start to finish. Nowhere on the email does it say "SKY customers only" yet it has been made patently clear to me by the telephonists that the offer is for SKY customers only.

Are marketing departments and advertisers born without a brain these days? Do they want to waste people’s time? A stipulation as simple as "For SKY customers only" should be on the original email. Why waste the time of potential customers and disenfranchise them before they even sign up? I do not need another smartarse to point out "For full terms and conditions visit http://www.racinguk.com".

Just another marketing department I wouldn’t pee on if it were on fire.

Here waht you are saying about disenfranchising people but I’d imagine they’re building in a bit of free market research into their promotion.

If the must be Sky is as hidden as you say maybe they’re finding out how many non Sky potential customers they would be likely to pick up with a future offer.

Reason might not be that they are braindead but quite the opposite.

This has been a cause of frustration for me also. RUK SKY customers can free online access to RUK. Because I’m cable I can’t. I’d have to pay another 10 quid a month to enjoy online access. I love the service and think it’s coverage is better than ATR but I won’t be ripped off either. Hopefully they can get it sorted if enough people complain.
