    Elamaz @ 25’s

He stood out a bit when the entries were released and managed to win last week to receive a penalty, which makes it more or less certain of getting in. Connections look to have plenty of entries at Ascot so hoping he is one of them.

I think he was a lot more impressive than the result shows, the second looks no slouch and they were well clear of a big field.I suppose he is difficult to handicap because who can say what’s under the bonnet, you are just guessing really, but he does have the look of a listed horse at the very least IMO.

It sounds good but needs to turn up, they have to surely to God.

Raadobarg hasn’t won a race since he won 2 in march and April 2022. The first
of those was the Irish Lincolnshire which he won looking like a horse above
a handicapper. Waited behind and finished with a blistering last furlong
(36.8 secs) to win ease. That was off a mark of 98. He followed up a month
later in a lesser affair at Tipperary in very comfortable style off a mark
of 107. He didn’t win again for Johnny Murtagh and moved to George Boughey
last April. He was boosted to 109 after going down by 3/4l and a nse at
Ascot in a Listed race (Queen Anne Stakes Trial) The two in front, Chindit
and Cash both rated higher than him (1lb and 6lb) He ran again in the Irish
Lincolnshire in March this year carrying 10st topweight where he finished 3rd.

Although he hasn’t won for Boughey, he’s dropped down to 103, his lowest mark
since he won the Irish Lincolnshire in 2022. George Boughey has his stable
in top gear at the moment (27% in the last 14 days). I’m not sure of the going
there at the moment but the forecast is for fairly heavy rain for the 3 days
prior to the race. He really likes to get his toe in.

    He’s 40/1 with a couple of bookies who I’ve taken e/w with but I also took 60/1
    and 49/1 on the exchange.

Ropey Guest my EW shout here. I’ve taken the 33’s Win, and I’ll have more EW 8Pls

For my other choice, keep coming back to Holloway Boy. He’s one who’s not really backed up that big win here two years back, but this could well be within his reach. I’ll take him win only, as I think he’ll either win or finish 19th. I’ve taken 28’s just now, but might be a chance I could beat that.

I’d give Stay Well a chance of outrunning his odds, should he sneak in, while although no plans to add a third, if I do, it would be Padishakh

Four year olds have a good record.

I will back Daysofourlives each way (first time headgear) and agree with VTC about Holloway Boy (free bet win only).

Not overly keen on the allocated weight but SONNY LISTON was impressive on seasonal debut and was an unlucky-ish runner up in the race last year, I put him on at 10’s with max places.
Smaller bet on STREETS OF GOLD who was prolific as a 2 year old but no win in 2023. A step up to a mile could be the answer after a staying on 6th in the Victoria cup.

Not sure if Im reading to much into this, Silent Film is now a non runner. The same owner had the first reserve in Crack Shot. Mickael Barzalona originally on board Silent Film, now riding Crack Shot.
    Nice draw in 32, 22/1 E/W 6 places WH.

I Backed Crack Shot after your post this morning at 20s. He’s come in for a lot of support since, now as short as 7s in places. Thanks for the heads up.

Have a small stake on Holloway Boy & Perotto also.
