November 14, 2011 at 01:44 #377772Fatally injured on the gallops

From RP:
"LOVETHEHIGHERLAW, considered one of Ireland’s brightest novice hurdling prospects, died on the gallops on Saturday morning.
Gigginstown House Stud’s five-year-old won a point-to-point and two bumpers, includingat Grade 1 level at Punchestown in May under Patrick Mullins.
His father Willie, who trained Lovethehigherlaw, admitted that the loss was a heavy one.
"He was one of our stars I think and it’s tough to take," he said.
"Obviously it was early days with him but he had done nothing other than to suggest he had a really good future over hurdles and fences."
Lovethehigherlaw was general 10-1 joint-favourite forthe Supreme Novices’ Hurdle next March. He was bought for €115,000 out of Pat Doyle’s yard last year."

Il Fenomeno was pushed out to beat Dylan Ross who had beaten Dual winner Savello soi the form look solid.
However the talking horse of Ireland Sous Les Cieux look a bit special to say the least. Granted he was long odds on when winning his maiden but you would have thought Ruby would have had to have at least breathed on him to win.
Motionless throughout he cruised past Rourke’s Cross, who is anything but useless but was made to look like someone had chained him to a cart.
This Sous Les Cieux looks a real class act and so far one of the best novice hurdler I’ve seen on both sides of the water.
I’ll be very disappointed if my eyes are deceiving me and he doesn’t take this with ease despite the big rise in class.
December 4, 2011 at 14:53 #381001Paul Carberry well in command in the first never seen the 2nd coming. Luckily he had a lot of horse under him but really he should have let out a bit of reign and settled it right after the 2nd last. He and Jamie Spencer should get a flat together

Smashing horse Sous but not the type to be backing in the Supreme. Travels like a dream and would be near unbeatable if he possessed a really good turn of foot but he gives the impression he might be found wanting off the bridle against something that quickens instantly. You don’t get many Supremes when that doesn’t happen at least a couple of times in the latter stages.
At a guess I reckon WM will aim him at the Neptune 2m5f where the ability to travel well and stamina are of more importance.
Whatever he does he’ll make a cracking chaser.
