Best of luck with Brackens Laugh Darren but for me he is up against it having only won a Class 2 at Chelmsford and after running second to Capulet in the Dee Stakes at Chester with Jayarebe in 3rd, that horse then went on to beat him into 5th place in the Hampton Court at Royal Ascot with Kings Gambit in second a horse that Bracken’s Laugh had beaten in his maiden the previous year. For me 6/1 is to short a price when a horse like Lord North is 11/2.
I’d love nothing better than to see LORD NORTH – 11/2 win this. He’s a Group horse through and through and has won over course and distance although I don’t think he has won on Good to Firm so hope for a little rain.
Interesting to see how Kieran Shoemark gets on with him. He rode a great race on Lead Artist last week but gave Freewind too much to do and I’m still not a great fan.
