Does anyone know if there is an online updated list of horses who have been retired for whatever reason? I’ve looked through the Racing Post & Sporting Life sites but can’t find any sort of indicator to show that this or that horse is no longer in training.
Many thanks.
July 28, 2015 at 12:34 #1147506I doubt it. Retraining of Racehorses try to get as many people as possible to register their ex-racehorses that are being re-trained, that way they get an idea. I had the big idea once that all trainers should be accountable as to which horses leave their yards, for what reason and whether they were re-homed, go for breeding, unsound/injured. That would go someway to understanding the statistics or lack of them.
