I don’t think your point applies to Henrythenavigator, because Ballydoyle-trained horses seem to run regardless of whether or not ground conditions are suitable.

Admittedly that does seem to be the case…but why? Cant see what the benfit would be
They have such wealth of talent, I think it is , generally, a case of horses being set an agenda which is adhered to because they have so many other horses to run elsewhere.
Surely they are more flexible than that? but its as good an explanation as i can think of
