Been away from the GeeGees for a bit-needed a time out-as its really the AW I like to bet in.
Anyway-I started this thread about 11 months ago & have recently just got myself Racexpert.
So much to learn & digest but it certainly looks good & I am starting to find more & more winners, tho Im not going mental.
Just finding my way through the software.
They are doing the deal for £80 for the download + 2 months free updating.Well worth a blast.
Too many people win money & subscribe for it to be useless.
Will continue posting when I have something useful to post

    Keep us updated.

I would interested to see how you would get on "dutching" the first four top-rated of their ratings.

Biotechy – Please keep us updated on how you get on with RaceXpert.

I’ve been bombarded with emails from them for a few years now and while the testimonials look impressive I have always been put off trying it by:-

Not seeing any postings about it on any horse racing forum, so your posting is a first.

Seeming to have so many angles and ways of selecting horses, it looks like the horse racing equivalent of Woolworth’s pic’n’mix.

Their forum never looks as busy or active as I would expect to see for something successful.

The software itself is very good.Lots & lots of ways & systems to get winners.
There are so many ways to anylse form, class, speed, weight, stats ect.

After having a good "scan" today I am having a bet on these "**good things today.
All selections are highlighted in Racexpert in some or many ways.Top rated 1st
    Wolv
    1.55 Quick release *** 2nd
    Bawaardi 1St
    Forward Feline. Unp

    2.30 Radiator Rooney N/R
    Well Of echoes 2nd

    3.05 High Constable 1st

    3.35 Fujin Dancer *** 2nd
    Bee Stinger 3rd

    4.05 If I was a boy 3rd
    Danger Mulally 1st
Brooklands Bay PMR+ 2nd(not fit & would beat these in future)Fine big horse.

    4.35 Shake on it 1st
    Mighty Mover Unp
    Spinning ridge 3rd

    5.05 Blue Lyric
    Lisahane Bog 1st

    5.35 Chia *** 1st
    Join Up. 3rd
There really is too much to get my teeth into & I have owned the Program for a fortnight now & am just beginning to get around it.

I will say tho I have used it three times so far.
It cost me £100 inc pro membership.
1st day of use won £59 in a placepot generated by RX
    Next wime won £50 after a single on a 5/1 shot (£10)
& finally I won another £50 from Autumn Blades-clear selection.
Not bad, three days use & has already paid for itself & given me a £60 profit for relatively small stakes.

    RESULTS FOR TODAY
    ———————————–
1.55 I bet Quick release in this-had studied both horses on ATR video & concluded Bawaardi would lead into the final furlong & QR would cut him down as per last time & he was rapidly eating into Bawaardi’s lead & was btn only 1/2 lth at the line. The 6lb turn around in the weights made no difference IMHO-the pace just wasnt fast enough to drain Bawaardi,s stamina.I would bet QR to beat him every time at this distance-the early pace would be the deciding factor.

2.30 Radiator Rooney was a N/R-never had a single bet in the race as never had enough of an angle, but included Well Of echoes in my P/Pot which also had the 1st & 2nd in the first.

3.05 High Constable-No bet but had it in my P/Pot.Was very impressive & him & the 2nd Greyfriarschorista finished well clear of the third.

3.35 No single bet as no value in the Fav & top rated Fujin Dancer. Had Fujin Dancer & 2nd rated Bee Stinger(3rd) in the P/Pot.

4.05 two top rated-If I was a boy & Danger Mulally were included in my P/Pot. Danger Mulally 1st 3/1.

4.35 The three top rated Shake on it,Mighty Mover & Spinning ridge. I had Shake on it & Mighty Mover in my P/Pot 1st Shake on it 3/1 & 3rd Spinning Ridge 9.2 Bf.

5.05 This race I had between three —–Blue Lyric, Lisahane Bog & Ramamara.
After studying the main participents I was convinced Lisahane Bog would have the best finish & so it was. I had several decent bets at up to 6.0 on BF.

5.35 This race had Chia as the top rated & he was also 5 pts faster on Speed than the speed par for the class of the race.
I studied his form which wasnt great to confirm the ratings & the deciding factor on a single bet was looking at the video of his last race on ATR video, seen he was probably coming to the boil, as he was unlucky in running & far better than his final placing.I couldnt believe it on BF as I was even gifted 7.0 before the off, several bets at 6.0 & several more at 5.5 & 5.4.
    Won readily enough.
I checked my P/Pot & had them all up for a dividend just over £28 for a £16 stake-so that was poor.
Well up on the day (about £200)& the program is delivering in spades.
    Cant wait for Southwell tomorrow.

The program has a tool called "intelligent race filter" which reduces the field depending on its size 3-4-5 or 6 horses-not necesarily top 6 in SP.
I am on the Pro Member forum which is password protected & there are many v interesting snippets in the forum-many of which have been "altered" to make reading of same very hard.
They sell systems devised on their software which if you spent day after day studying-you could find yourself no doubt. I have a feeling these "altered threads" have winnings methods/systems in them.
The RX ratings are the basis for many of the older members basing their selections on & to be honest I dont think any ratings I have came across before trap so many winners.
After reading many of the more "enlightened" on this forums ideas & methods-I have absolutely no doubt that if they had this in their hands-they would be much better placed to turn a profit.

I like the term "Woolworth’s pic’n’mix" because it is most certainly a punters dream. There is so much on it-I am now a Convert-4 days I have used it & 4 days I have now won.
The forums are quiet apart from a wily old gent called Tom Whitely, who is in his eighties & provides good methods & best uses of Racexpert.I have backtracked some systems on it & have some up & running-my criteria being low amounts of bets with a high S/R.

The reason I think the forums are so quiet is that Im sure there are many of them with good angles & dont want to share the Ideas with other Racexpert users-for good reason.
At the start of Racexpert many systems were generating 200-300+% r.o.i-but the systems dont really provide a profit anymore as although they generate the same amount of winners-the prices make it too hard to really profit as the system horses are obviously being overbet. The forums started die-ing around 2006-just when the many profitable systems, stopped being…so profitable.
After going through the forums from years back, its clear many have stopped posting-although still subscribe

Thanks for taking the time to give your appraisal of yesterday’s racing.

I can’t help thinking the horses you backed were more down to your own judgment than simply what the software threw up. Would you have come to the same conclusions by looking at video replays and reading the form?

Looking at the software alone, there were three winners from the top rated and a profit of 2.16 points.

From the top two rated there were 6 winners for a profit of 5.16 points. (Apart from the 2:30 where I don’t know what the 2nd rated was after the defection of Radiator Rooney).

It beat Backing the favourite which produced three winners and a profit of .91 points, so seems a good start.

Yes you are correct-They are more my selections from the top rated horses.
There are many ratings you can base a selection on, but for me-I need something else to finalise a selection.
I have used software before to narrow the field, then used the same methods of race finish analysis to make a final selection.
I cannot for the life of me, understand why more people dont use this as a means off form analysis.
Vdw & Alan Potts were adamant-as I now am-that what horses do in the last 2/3 furlongs is the key element of a bet or not.
In Aw races, speed is the best tool for handicapping imho-up to 10f- when horses are top on speed & within 3-4lb of their last winning mark, and when meeting all the other filters it does seem to isolate the winners.
I would have to be very careful of placing selections on these pages from RX as they are very strict on that sort of thing & I nearly was kicked from ProPunter for placing selections on the Old Gummy Forum.
There are systems which dutch the "intelligent filter" horses & I will put up some of their lists for perusal at S’well today.

i still use propunter gold on the flat for group 1 and 2 races 3yo +.
post my ratings on big races discussion
enough profit just to make it worthwhile
does take around 45mins per race and tend to back top rated and top value in first three.
all depends what weight and speed figures you use
i tend to combine racing post and official ratings.
not compatable with vista and i understand David Atherton has stopped selling.
may not use anymore as computer crashed this winter all data gone and can’t find propunter disc.
also not subscribed to Racing post for ratings.
but had fun and enjoyed using it.

    Ah, the old PP gold.
Had many fantastic days with it-I made my selections from the top three-& using what horses do in the last 2/3 furlongs as the Deciding factor in whether I bet 1 or 2-3 or none at all.
I was getting all my bets scrutinised by the local "King Mydas" (bought by Ladbrokes now) bookmakers manager & he ok’d all my bets.
I used to have two lines when going into that bookies-one for the overtheshoulder spys who always came over to me trying to get a peep what I was betting & the real one.
How I yearn to be as profitable now as then.
You could buy or use an old pc to run it on-I did with an Amiga PP Gold disk I had-It can be downloaded for nothing & if not an Email to David would Im sure reult in a copy being sent to you.

Couldnt hook up to website for downloads & got this message from RaceXpert.Very dissapointed just gave them over a ton & I get this

    Horse Racing Software – RaceXpert

Members who had been with us for the last eight years will have noticed that for the last two years at least there has been absolutely no product development. New features being requested by our active membership were also not being added.

The reason this work was not being done was because the company has become so successful that some at the top felt it was acceptable to just sit back and enjoy the success but do very little else. However this was not a situation which others within the company felt could be allowed to continue. Due therefore to internal company matters which will now become the subject of a lengthy and expensive court case we have temporarily suspended the old existing RaceXpert Software and Online Service.

Members should note however that all existing subscriptions will be honoured and we will be launching a brand new and extremely quick online Version of RaceXpert later in the year. This will features lots of new and much more accurate ratings plus a host of brand new interactive features. The old buggy software which is very slow, prone to errors and completely out of date will be ditched.

This new super fast version of the very successful RaceXpert service will be continually added to and we will be looking to you for input !!

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause and keep a close eye on your inbox for our launch day e-mail.

    Hi,

I have been a member of Racexpert for over three years and I am disappointed at the news received today. I was told yesterday that they had data problems, which turns out not to be true. Very poor on their part.

I e-mailed them this morning and got next to nothing in the way of a reply. They switched the forum off to avoid wild speculation and misinformation. In other words, they don’t want their members getting the chance to have their say. So they clamp them.

This is a blow because I am one of those members who has been quietly going about my business, making money by using Racexpert. I did post on the forum but no one was interested in my findings so I removed them and just got on with it myself.

I am angry about this because I had just renewed my membership and am getting nothing for it except the promise of a faster, better service in the future. At the moment, I am taking that with a pinch of salt.

I’m hoping that, like myself, other Racexpert members will find their way onto this forum and we can do something about this situation. It’s completely unacceptable.

This is the dialogue I have had with them just this morning.

    Hi Mark

There will no longer be any software as everything will happen online. This will make the service faster and much easier to use, so no chance of alienating anyone.

We are working away on things right now but we don´t want to set ourselves or our members any unachievable deadlines.

It will be worth waiting for so please bear with us !!

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further enquiries.

    Kind regards

    The RaceXpert Team

Is there any Ideas when this new service will be available.
I bought the software & membership on December 22nd so am obviously rather peeved to say the least. Some kind of continuance would have been a far better way of doing it until the new service is ready.
I hope this matter wont alienate older members & prevent them from using the new software as this has blown a huge hole in the way people bet, all systems ect are now down the tube.

I have made a new thread for this as I feel its important to get the views of the members of this forum on this diabolical way to treat its members.
I was doing really well with it too-4 winning days from 4.
