Nice horse Tommy, that Anibale Fly, would be a shame if they didn’t at least consider The Arkle.
November 21, 2016 at 21:23 #1273753Instead of laying Altior, I’ve just backed him at 20s for the Champion Hurdle
Horse has a helluva engine Joe,I’m amazed connections feel the need to send him chasing when he could be a serious Champion hurdler..Mind you I cant understand Why ‘MTOY’ never went chasing 2 years ago,he really does look a Chaser.
November 21, 2016 at 23:00 #1273760MTOY is a chaser…keeps chasing other horses past the post
November 21, 2016 at 23:02 #1273761BTW, I think Nicky is being very brave sending Altior to Sandown next. If he jumps clean round there, he’ll do for the Arkle.
November 26, 2016 at 21:34 #1274397Big day tomorrow, this seasons Arkle winner makes his seasonal debut at Navan over an extended 2m.This fellow looks a natural for Chasing and the 2m Novice Championship race at Cheltenham looks the only target for Mullins 5yo.An impressive round of jumping on the bridle will see Min cut to 3/1,thats why I have taken the 7/1 with Bet365 tonight.Just a £100 win will do for now.
November 27, 2016 at 13:54 #12745876’s Min to win as well . Very impressive that i thought.

Just had another £50 on at 6/1 With Ladbrokes Botchy…Well spotted, should be about 4/1 imo, this fellow really is a 2 miler so Mullins cant possibly enter him in the 3m or 4m events can he??
November 27, 2016 at 14:06 #1274593I took 7s in running. But with Mullins I wouldn’t be surprised if Min goes JLT and Yorkhill goes Arkle come march.
November 27, 2016 at 14:38 #1274658You’re a brave man, Gord. He’s a Mullins horse: could end up in the four-miler :)
November 27, 2016 at 15:27 #1274781Come on steeplechasing, let us have a bit of hope :)

You are quite right Joe he could.Min looks a speedy sort who imo always wanted a fence thats why I think he’ll beat ‘Altior’ this season. We all know Willie Mullins is to the Ante-Post punter what a bath in peeled plum tomatos is to soothing Hemorhoids.I think the trickiest horse of his to guess its target is Yorkhill, this fellow really is a machine who could win a Champion hurdle,an RSA,a JLT or this so I’m leaving him for now.TAPK didnt become the legend he is without having that Scottish Braveheart attitude he inherited from his long lost ancestor and Supreme Tosser Jock Mctavish of Kirkcaldy.
November 27, 2016 at 17:09 #1274796As there are two Arkle chases at Cheltenham these days, doubt I’ll get involved ante-post.
Buyer beware, especially when backing one of Mullins battalion.
Value Is EverythingNovember 27, 2016 at 17:44 #1274799MULLINS SAYS OF MIN. THAT IDE SAY HE WILL STAY AT THIS DISTANCE. SO LUMP ON MIN FOR THE JLT, AS MULLINS DOES SCREW US ALL THE TIME

Never a truer word spoken Lion…My gut feeling is Yorkhill will take the JLT route like the owners ‘Black Herc’ last year.
November 27, 2016 at 19:02 #1274823DONT WE ALL LOVE OUR GUT FEELINGS. ONLY TO BE SCREWED AGAIN BY MULLINS LOL
November 28, 2016 at 17:28 #1274906I agree on “form” Top Notch appears value at 33/1, Gord. However, ante-post value is not always about ability, likelihood of getting a run for your money is massively important. If only 50/50 about turning up bookies can afford to offer apparently tempting odds. With Henderson hotshot Altior 2/1 and Buveur Dair 14/1 currently a lot shorter, what are the odds Top Notch running?
Identity Theif is not “1/5th the odds”.

Good luck.

Well he was incredible Value Ginge at 33/1,he’s half those odds now after a run with ‘Arkle’ written all over it today.I have had another tenner e/w on at Hills 25/1…Thats incredible Value when others are going 14/1 pal.
Value is everything imo.

Just because a horse is 14/1 with one bookie and 25/1 with another doesn’t mean it’s “value”.
When a horse is an unlikely runner in an ante-post market some bookies will take a chance it doesn’t take part, some don’t. Top Notch is also as low as 12/1 for the JLT and 25/1 in a place.
Thistlecrack is as low as 5/1 for the King George and as big as 9/1. He’s also as low as 3/1 for the World Hurdle and as big as 8/1, 15/1 on betfair.
Native River is as low as 6/1 and and as high as 16/1, 25/1 on betfair for the Welsh National.
I could go on forever.Whenever there’s doubt about a horse taking part bookies will entice punters in by offering ante-post odds which on “form” appear “value”.
In truth, there’s no more than a 50% chance of Top Notch going for the Arkle, which means bookies can double what they’d give if only one possible target. Hope he goes for the Arkle for you.
