The article talked a lot about In Running betting and Less Liquidity in the Lesser races.
Suppose I haven’t realised much of a change because of concentrating on top quality pre-race betting which has held up more than other types. True, I myself no longer go racing, so no longer have bets in grade 3 and 4 races. Although could do with better liquidity in graded races too. Usually takes a while to get my money on bit by bit by bit the evening before racing.

Decrease in money staked over recent years and the bigger bettors struggling with affordability checks and / or retiring – is a problem. Racing has always been an older man’s sport but seems even more so these days. Presumably with football betting becoming a bigger thing, probably fewer younger potential gamblers becoming interested in horse racing…

And with more information out there from a greater number of places, there’s a greater number of knowledgeable punters around. Fewer less knowledgeable punters laying horses.

    Value Is Everything
