Don’t know if anyones mentioned this one yet but TRAINED BY THE BEST is a crap name IMO.
I hate TRAINEDBYTHEBEST as Pipe is not the best to everyone, although he’s good. I was thinking it was a bit of a peurile and girlie name myself.
One that annoyed me was when Derek Thompson was commentating on a horse called Milngavie it is a place just outside Glasgow and when pronounced actually sounds like MILGUY he never once got it right.
Clearly Frank And Alison Farrant who own Trainedby Thebest felt it was an appropriate name – I suppose when you’ve had the success that they have it is a fitting tribute.
Perhaps Willie Muir’s owners will start naming their horses Trained by the worst, Clueless trainer, or Waste Of Space!
maybe we could have a whole series of these then…

A late withdrawal from the Breeders’Cup Distaff was the beautifully named "Ivanavinalot".
…………….surprisingly enough, named after a rather striking looking blonde lady named Buffy Tyler (although I may have her surname wrong) who was, surprisingly enough, a Playboy Playmate Of The Month or Year or some such nonsense (I don’t subscribe – and if I did it would be for the articles which I’m reliably informed are very…um…informative). <br>:smiley:
