Vingis Park showed enough on Sunday at Fontwell to suggest a win is imminent and Gentle Beau got off the mark at Ludlow today.

Accipiter rounds off a fantastic season by winning the big novice hurdle at Aintree.

The less said about the ride Supreme Serenade was given at Newbury last Saturday the better.

Please to see Serenade back in the winners enclosure today despite the best efforts of the muppet in the saddle to try and get her beat.

Definitely capable or running up a sequence.

SS won again today at 13/2!!! I’ve got to hand it to Flynn this time though, although she still got to the front too soon, Flynn did everything he could and her style of racing makes it difficult for the handicapper to assess her. Can win again.

I think she’s one of the best mares in training in the UK at the mo and should make a smashing chaser next season.

I would feel more confident if someone else was riding her though. As per usual Flynn guessed at the last hurdle and she was lucky not to fall.

I can’t really criticise Flynn for winning. He should have held on to her for longer but I think his riding of her will improve as they gain experience together.

After 2 1/2 years of trying Vingis Park finally won at Aintree yesterday at odds of 16/1 in first time blinkers.

Serenade has finished 2nd in a couple of novice chases this season and looked less than keen at Wincanton on Thursday.

Sadly on his reappearance after 18 months off the track Accipiter was fatally injured at Windsor on Friday, very sad for all his connections.<br>
