if sizing europe retains his 2m ability from last year he could run into a place atleast at 16s! finished comfortably 2nd last year and 2nd again to sprinter at punchestown.
Bailey green last years arkle runner up at 14s would also be of interest.
Sire de grugy for me is much too short of a price for a horse that has been beaten twice at Cheltenham.
February 24, 2014 at 18:10 #469041Why should sizing europe turn form around with benefficent?.Bailey green can only place at best. When i back each way i like to think the horse has a decent chance off winning as well..Think that is the case with benefficent.the problem is martin might run him in the ryanair i hope not.I agree sire is way too short!

on benefficient – i’ll be surprised if he doesn’t go Ryanair. won Jewson last year (I know hes won over 2m)
6/1 to me is the borderline price for e/w and considering I wont be having a large bet on this race 6/1 for me is not really an attractive e/w price
February 24, 2014 at 18:50 #469051Yeah 6-1 isn’t much off a price think he will drift anyway. If he lines up for this imo hes the most likely winner.Surely with SS ciming out might tempt matin to have a crack at this?.Especially with benefficent winning a grade one over 2 miles and having a lot off the irish field behind him last time!

You could argue Andrew Lynch gave Sizing Europe a brain dead ride.
February 24, 2014 at 19:08 #469057Maybe so i just feel benefficent is a improving horse over 2 mules over fences.Where surely sizing europe is on the decline (great horse).Lets say benefficent was trained by w.mullins what price do you think he will be?.people forget benefficient has win two grade ones and a grade two over fences as a 8yo he could still be improving?.Just hope he takes his chances in the champ chase!
February 24, 2014 at 19:24 #469061I’d agree with you about Benefficient and Sizing Europe, just saying that Sizing may have looked so bad last time due to the ride given rather than a sharp decline. Would give Benefficient a big chance in this if he runs and I was considering backing him at 10/1 when Sprinter Sacre started to drift but I came down on the side of Arvika Ligeonniere instead. This is the last time I’m giving Arvika a last chance left handed, swear!
February 24, 2014 at 19:31 #469062Avika is a class horse but just my opinion do you think could be a bit ‘soft’..I can see 3 or 4 jumping the last with a chance, and if benefficient is there jumping the last and there all off the bridle what this fella knows is how to win..eg the jewson and the 2 miler in ireland last time.
February 24, 2014 at 22:49 #469081I’ve had a bit on Sizing Europe, he maybe in decline(maybe) but for me his best performances have been over the trip of 2 miles and travelled toe to toe with Sprinter for a far way in last years event before stumbling on the turn in. Think he will place at least.

February 24, 2014 at 23:17 #469083Sizing Europe has a 50% win rate at Cheltenham, still shown a spark this season, underestimate him at your peril.
February 25, 2014 at 00:05 #469087I was hoping Baily Green would go The Ryanair route, but he looks Champion Chase bound now.
He’s not been firing on all cylinders this season, and I still think he’ll need a step up in time, but at 14’s he might be worth a risk.
Bit of heart ruling the head about him, as he’s one of my favourite horses in training, but for a horse who, ridden differently, should have won The Arkle, then I might just take a chance at those odds.
February 25, 2014 at 15:56 #469168Kid Cassidy beat SDG at Cheltenham a few months ago, he looked very impressive that day, he may well have gone close to winning even at level weights, still a young horse with scope to improve, looks the value in this race to me
February 25, 2014 at 17:50 #469183i agree on sizing europe been at his best at 2 miles around cheltenham.Reminds me a lot off voy por ustedes.Just feel will have his plate full tbis year
February 25, 2014 at 18:07 #469187I wouldn’t rule Module out, if he turns up here. I was well impressed with him last time
March 2, 2014 at 13:26 #469711Looks more likely that benefficient is gonna run in the ryanair then the champ chase, which is a shame would love him to run in this!

I had him backed a while back at NRNB and could probably get this advanced by Bet365 so I can put it on Morning Assembly who I want backed, but after reading the trainer comments about this still being ground dependant how much change is there of him still running here do we think? Could just let the bet ride and see what happens but I’ll be a bit annoyed if MA’s price falls and he wins as I won’t be able to get anything on him until nearer the time.

Popular with punters too.
The two that need to go right-handed SDG and Arvika absolutely friendless at the prices with us.
