I guess i would have to have (How to win at handicap racing 1990)(Figure handicapping 1992)(How to beat the handicapper 1996)and (Value betting 1990) to name but a few.

    Some good ones already listed.

Best UK one I have come across is How to Analyse Form – M L Midgely.

The Tony Peach VDW series are worthwhile.

All Peter May’s books are good.

    Misbehaviour of Markets – Mandelbrot
    Fortune’s Formula – Poundstone
    Art of Legging – Sidney

Problem is that there are bits and pieces you take from all sorts of sources but there is not a single book publicly available that is in the form of a betting tutorial – taking folks from A-Z. Most books only get up to B.

    Aye, some worthy titles mentioned

Bringing it down a notch or two I still believe

Be A Successful Punter – Clive Holt

is as good a book as any for the novice

And in my experience many punters really should purchase

    Probability Made Simple

or its new-millennial re-incarnation with silly pictures and bad jokes

    Probability For Dummies
