What’s the general consensus re: Hurricane Fly this evening?
Surely Mullins wouldn’t risk him if he didn’t the HF was back to his best – especially as he stepped Quevega up to 3 miles.
April 23, 2010 at 09:39 #291881would of been interesting to see the fallers stay up in that race. convinced CCB would of got beat. but, they didnt!

Ground has to be a bit of a concern, no?
April 23, 2010 at 10:33 #291890Gone for Solwhit in the Champion Hurdle, I think he’s the value at the prices. With so many question marks about many of the field I’m happy to go with Solwhit.
3 out of 3 over CD and although may want the ground softer, has won on better ground before and will be there in the closing stages I reckon.
Promises to be a great race though and as touched on earlier, absolutely delighted for Katie Walsh in this. What a thrill it must be for her lining up in a field like this…
April 23, 2010 at 10:35 #291891Major doubts about most of the these
so Ronaldo Des Mottes e/w @ 14/1 pour moi

willie says in RP today " Race fitness is a concern ,but he`ll love the track and the ground"
April 23, 2010 at 12:00 #291910Hardy Eustace declared for the 1m7f flat race tomorrow…I predict the roof will come off the stands if/when he wins!!!

quote]Not only that but in the eight or nine races since he was beaten at long odds on in a muddling three runner affair, he’s only been beaten twice – both times when running outside of Ireland.
I have no idea if the horse is averse to travelling or not but one thing is blatantly clear, he loves Punchestown.
There are horses with huge potential in this race but Solwhit, who’s only a 6yo himself has been there and done it.
5/1 is a very good price IMHO.

April 23, 2010 at 13:45 #291933Punjabi has won at the Punchestown Festivals twice and was 2nd last year (shd to Solwhit)
I’m laying the front 2

Funnily enough, im doing the exact opposite. I cant split them, so I will take the 11/8 or so on offer on one of them winning. A reverse forecast to boot aswell
April 23, 2010 at 14:38 #291944Hopefully Dunguib will be ridden a little differently today. I think he is more than capable of winning this race.

April 23, 2010 at 16:13 #291961I’ve backed Solwhit and place-laid Dunguib.
April 23, 2010 at 16:19 #291962I expect Muirhead to run a massive race. His form on Good ground is very respectable and I don’t believe he stayed the trip behind Khyber Kim at Aintree. At 25-1 I think he is the value of the race, I also think Medermit will also be in the shake up, Kings stable beginning to show signs of a return to form.

April 23, 2010 at 16:40 #291966Hurricane Fly is some horse, the way he travelled was exceptional. Solwhit is one helluva hard horse to pass mind…
April 23, 2010 at 16:41 #291967Great performance from Hurricane Fly.
As for Dunguib : does he probably require soft ground to be seen at his best, or should he be re-named DampSquib.

April 23, 2010 at 16:42 #291968Hurricane Fly is pure class, pace seemed non existent but still had the class to win, hope he turns up at Cheltenham next year.
