A horse with Golden Jubilee written all over him is

    Canford Cliffs

,Corals have given me 12/1 and after he fails to stay the Guineas mile, connections will go for the Group 1 sprint over the C/D he won the Coventry over! Another piece of the Ante-Post jigsaw i enjoy tackling year after year!I have had £25 e/w.

    I am convinced

    Cooldine

has been trained with the Punchestown Gold Cup as his main target this season,i saw a bit more than a glimmer of hope in the Cheltenham Gold Cup as he travelled like a Rolls Royce for a long way, obviously Denman could run them ragged but so long as the ground stays on the faster side of Good,Cooldine will have too much speed for both Denman and the very talented Soft ground Joncol!I have had £50 e/w at 5/1 with Bet365.

Cooldine will never win a Gold Cup i"m afraid as he simply doesn"t stay a yard over 3m!

Another great race, formerly known as the Whitbread Gold Cup fast approaches and i have taken 10/1 about the Alan Peterson owned

    Fairoak Lad

,this guy has an eye for a horse and this lightly raced individual looks very well handicapped. He made his debut at Exeter in a novice hurdle as a 4yo and carried level weights with his conquerer Thetotherone who was a 6yo at the time,if both horses run Fairoak Lad will be in receipt of 17lbs! I have had £30 e/w with Betfred.

    Today i beleive

    Karabak

is the bet of the day,but i shall be cautious and have backed him to place only on the machine at Even money to £100.I think we have still to see the real Karabak this season and hopefully today will give Alan King a deserved grade 1 winner.I hope Bensalem runs a solid race too as i still see him as a Hennessey horse for next season!

    Very disapointed with

    Karabak

    today,particularly as

    Bensalem

ran a great race,my first impression is to avoid this horse in future as he was always well placed today but found zilch when pressure was applied, that was my first ever bet on the horse and it will be my last,i think he may well be an over rated animal who becomes expensive to follow,i await any excuses for him stopping!TAPK burnt his fingers today and they are still stingin!

A horse who did me a big favour at Royal Ascot last year when winning the Britannia handicap was

    Fareer

and i always thought he would make a better 4yo,particularly on good fast ground.I have backed him today for the Bet365 mile.£20 e/w at 20/1 with Bet365.

Fair play ‘King’ for putting it out there – for all to see…

Just a question – shouldn’t you be making this as your Anti-Post/thread/tips…section?

There are races that we all have thoughts about – that will be around the corner – why not speculate some opinion on them first here…

Pluckin’ AC for the GJ – was some going…now let’s have some more long range tips!

Cheers Zenjah, who were you before Zenjah.just out of interest? Anyway i said i would have loved to see

    Rip Van Winkle

running over 6f and still would,we shall see about that mind as he seems like he could run away with the mile division this year! Another horse i would like to see dropped down to 6f is

    Delegator

,his run in the 2000gns was still one of the best performances of last year,he was cantering over everything at the 2f pole and i am convinced he doesn"t quite get the mile.I"m expecting further improvement from this beast of a 4yo and he looks just the sort to make a sprinter! Unfortunately he is only 15"s on Betfair for the Golden Jubilee,i would like to see him back at Newmarket for the July Cup!

TAPK has his back to the wall again, memories of this years RSA have come back to haunt me in this years 2000gns where i am currently £350 down in Ante-Post bets on the race!

    Al Zir

is a horse i have liked from day 1,i beleive the faster ground at Newmarket will enable him to get a lot closer to St Nicholas Abbey than he did in the Racing Post Trophy where the Soft ground suited the winner perfectly.I have already had a fiver on at 42 on the machine but today i have had £75 e/w at 14/1 with Corals now he has been confirmed as a defineate runner!I"m convinced the favourite wants Soft ground and a lot further.Come on Frankie!

Hey King – strange question – "who was I before" – how many life times do we go back!?

"I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together"…

Just so you know – I’m a one off! :D

Back to the racing – did you see today – Paul ‘oi oi’ Roy’s comments re: Canford Cliffs today??…

He ain’t sure that he’s a guineas horse but fancies that he could win a July Cup!

I wonder about his (only hanging left on the race strip) – funny how Hughes had him against the rail in the Morny – no?
    Never shown that at home…yeahhh

    Sim thoughts about ‘Deli’…

How about going to the other end of the spectrum…we kinda done sprinters!!…what about the other end – Gold Cup?!

6/1 the field – could be a good one this – for price shoppers inc!

Zenjah, you come across as though you are smoking something illegal as you pilot your magic carpet to the "Age of Aquarius"! If i knew this horse was being targeted for the race i would lump on at 10/1.

Did you lay him at 20"s Bucksy?

No I don’t lay horses. It was a place lay suggestion anyway. I backed Xtension and got the race wrong despite shortlisting the 1st and 3rd at one point. Not good. A discussion may have yielded a lay-off of your bet though, hence the question mark, but you weren’t around, maybe the upgrade to blame!

Its time i backed a winner again so i am busy raindancing for

    Seta

for tomorrows 1000gns and have had £100 win on at 6"s on Betfair today! She certainly looks a filly who should have come on a ton over the winter, trouble is Luca Cumani is not one for readying them so early, fingers crossed!

I am a great believer in laying off and i was convinced St Nicholas was the lay of the season so far today at Even money,my problem with Al Zir was i had a chunk on at 14"s and only a fiver at 42"s,had i got a lump on at the bigger price i would have played safe and laid enough to protect my stake, unfortunately the race has cost me a Monkey and made me look like one! Such is life mate! :(
