Right then this first race at Cheltenham today,as per usual i look at the final decs and do a very non Gingerish thing and that is price the field to what i believe is accurate, just in my head and it takes me all of 5 minutes to do! I made Spirit River and
Reve de Sivola
joint favs at 2/1,i wake up this morning and see 5/4 Spirit River, 4/1 Reve de Sivola! TAPK"s a country mile out,not for the first time i hasten to add! On closer inspection i still maintain its between the 2 but if you look at the paths they have taken to get here i believe Reve de Sivola has the better chance,Spirit river has taken the handicap route where as Reve de sivola has taken a more classy novice route. Where i see a distinct bias to Reve de Sivola is in the fact that both horses ran at the festival here in March,Spirit River won the Coral Cup carrying 11-2 and jumped 10 flights over 2m 5f in 2m 5secs,the race was run at an acceptable pace throughout and Spirit river ran on gamely. However Reve de sivola ran in the Grade 1 nov hurdle over the same course jumping the 10 flights in 5m 2secs carrying 5lb more than Spirit River and that race was ran at a good gallop,it was a quality race! The Ascot Gold Cup winner ran in it and Reve de Sivola finished 2nd to none other than Peddlars Cross! I shall take a chance that
Reve de Sivola
i s fit enough to win this and at 4/1 i feel he is over priced! We"ll see!
£100 win
Reve de Sivola
4/1
Absolute ****** Poetry from the one and only, this is a serious horse who can only get better,he was as green as a pea jumping the last and he wants 3 miles to allow him to jump at a more sedate pace (memorys of the Challow there)! Thanks supersilver by the way,its rude not to acknowledge praise! Watch this horse,he was blatantly unfit but class prevailed! 29"s in running! No i wasn"t tempted!
December 10, 2010 at 14:53 #331934I am expecting a run for my money in this 3m 1f handicap at Cheltenham from a horse who was pulled up last time out! His Novice form is rock solid and he would be a Gold cup outsider on that form alone,he fairly ran on up the hill in the RSA and you know what i think about that race!

I was on here the other night minding my own when I overheard a conversation between Fist, Ginger, Mr Wilson and Reet and the word is they are going to start up a tribute band in your honour….

The Monkees

TAPK turns professional on Jan 1st Grimes, i have been Semi Pro now for about 5yrs but its always been something i want to have a go at! I"m a bit nervous about upping the Ante but my game plan was to make 25k this year,i have made just over 19k to date and i have even managed to put them on here to prove it can be done! Now go and find that damn French horse you are waffling on about!

Value Is EverythingDecember 11, 2010 at 13:43 #332093I rate
Somersby
highly but whether he can beat the real Master Minded today remains to be seen, i have had to take the 8/1 about the former e/w to protect myself hopefully!
£50 e/w
Somersby
8/1 Cheltenham 1,55
Thats the last time Somersby runs over 2 miles!December 11, 2010 at 14:48 #332114I"m not going to shout this one from the rooftops as i have stated previously last seasons RSA was full of future winners and not just handicappers! Little Josh has to be respected but i am of the belief if David Pipe thinks
Great Endeavour
is worth taking his chance, particularly on these revised terms then i am happy to stay loyal to this improving Grey! I have just thrown a tenner at
Calgary Bay
at 33/1 just in case!
£100 e/w William hill
Great Endeavour

December 15, 2010 at 13:51 #332701I have always thought

If its not on it doesn"t count!
Anyway my last wager has to be on the weak horseJered
!I can see Paul Carberry nursing him round here, having said that if anything throws it down to him Jered will throw the towel in! Classy form on his day though!
£50 e/w

December 23, 2010 at 10:48 #333665I am staying loyal to
Overturn
in the Christmas hurdle,i think this race has conditions to suit
this front running and fast improving horse! 7/1 is too big and is a solid e/w bet imo!
£85 e/w
Overturn
7/1 Xmas Hurdle, Kempton.

Today the real money goes down on
Reve de Sivola
in the dipper,i know he"s got a hell of a challenge on at these weights but i rate this fellow highly, his jumping will need to be much more fluent in this field as they wont come back to him like last time but this fellow is willing and if he can jump the last with half a chance he will battle!
£100 e/w
Reve de Sivola
