Workforce
for the 2000gns,this time i had to take the 16/1 with Ladbrokes, knowing damn well it wouldn"t last till tea time! £25 e/w this time! TAPK has thrown a snowball at this one and has started an Avalanche,i"m expecting a reappearance in the Craven and after he romps home in that he will be 4/1 2nd fav!Watch this space!

-£280 Loser £30
April 2, 2010 at 14:46 #287178Good luck with them both TAPK but as I have said on the Grand National thread I think your Snowy Morning money is not in a good place!!

Timepiece
£25 e/w at 12/1 with the Tote for this years Oaks,i like her attitude, her breeding and the fact she is trained by the Oaks Maestro. If all goes to plan she will be a short priced fav on the day.Lingfield Oaks trial to kick off is always a good yardstick!
-£330April 2, 2010 at 18:25 #287215Ahhh at last TAPK one I agree with you on. I am on Timepiece at 16/1 for the Oaks!

April 3, 2010 at 23:29 #287402Not impressed with ur tip Prophet on Workforce. It sucks actually. Have you looked at the horses which followed it home? Whilst beat 6 length+ these horses have since struggled to win. Exceedthewildman finished 3rd. This struggled to win off a mark in the 70’s eventually progressing to a mark in the low 80’s over the winter. 4th placed Whippaway beat 8 lengths was winning off a mark in the 50’s whilst the rest were dreadful. The 2nd place also won off a mark in the 70’s next time out.
Hardly setting the world alight with those types behind. Not a Guinneas horse if the horses following it home have a say. Rock of Gibralter was regarded as a 120 rated horse after its 2000 guinneas win. I fear your selection has a long way to reach those sort of heights on current knowledge.

I see!I notice this is your first post on this forum, under the moniker of "stewar1"! Of course you could be somebody else, perhaps a Mr Benn like character? Anyway
Workforce
absolutely slaughtered Oasis dancer, who just so happened to win the Timeform Million and in doing so beat a horse i hold in high regard, Alfred Noble,in his next race! Its all about seeing the wood from the trees and you were never any good at that were you Media Gecko,or is it Equitrack,Oh you were the same person, silly sausage!
April 4, 2010 at 10:52 #287436As every union man knows, "no workforce, no prophet".

Welcome to this side of the forum TAPK.
Are you any relation to "The Prophet" (Billy The Punter) as advertised in the Racing Post?
Workforce was the most impressive two year old I saw at Goodwood all year. Got more chance of going on at three than any other too. In the paddock he looked (to my eyes at least) a nice type, though lacked muscle definition. Which makes the performance all the better. Held up after a poor start and coming through easily to win going away. Though SNA, CC and A will be tough nuts to crack. Hope he does go for the Craven, as he’ll need more experience before a classic.
Wonder if the Derby might be where Workforce will get promotion. Related to Brian Boru and Media Luna.GL TAPK

April 5, 2010 at 09:20 #287604Talk about horses for courses!
A New Story
and the Irish National go together like Baileys with Ice.This will be his 5th attempt at the race and the only time he has been unplaced was when he was hampered 3 years ago! 6 to place has to be taken, particularly after his victory at Cheltenham this year! I have had £10 e/w at 25/1 with Ladbrokes and £30 to place at 6 on Betfair!
-£380 Placed winner £252

A New Story
ran his heart out for the 5th year running to be placed yet again and give the King a good start to his thread!

April 6, 2010 at 16:54 #287960The 1000gns holds a special place for me as my 1st Ante-Post bet in the race was a filly with the same name as my Sister!
Pebbles
won the race in 1984 for Captain Marcos Lemos,Clive Brittain and Phillip Robinson! This year i like the look of
Tabassum
, another Sir Michael Stoute inmate, she looked a 2yo that should have been left unraced as i expect big things from her at 3!Well you would expect that, being a daughter of Nayef. All 3 of her runs were over the 7f of the Guineas,so expect an entry in the Nell Gwyn,i have had £25 e/w at 20/1 with Ladbrokes!
-£178 Ante-Post Loser £50
