Nice race mate. Racing Post has the ground at very soft but it isn’t, it’s on the good side of things with a little yield. That is good to hear as I have gone for SURVIE to run a big race and judging on previous form she wants better ground. Ran a fine race in the baguette oaks behind today’s rival SPARKLING PLENTY and then went one better over c+d (group 2) when beating Mosaique, who subsequently won a group 3 next time.
Plenty to like about the top of the betting but OPERA and SPARKLING have to prove they want the trip, whilst BLUESTOCKING has to prove she’s over the exertions of the Juddmonte when not really catching the eye.

I see what you mean about Opera Singer and the trip, especially with ease in the ground, but she’s a classy filly with course form and a weight allowance she probably doesn’t need given her size. I’ve put her in a double with Henri Matisse today (and a little treble with Fastorslow for the King George as couldn’t find anything else I wanted to back today).

Well deserved win for Bluestocking. Opera Singer won’t be winning an Arc on that evidence.
