HENRY LONGFELLOW 5/1
A horse not seen the best of yet with heavy rain on Saturday. Doubt dry out enough come Sunday.
A feeling Charyn can’t keep winning
September 7, 2024 at 08:07 #1706495Ramadan at 40s ew for me
September 7, 2024 at 12:16 #1706569Charyn is the obvious favourite. Notable Speech and Henry Lonfellow should handle the conditions being out of Dubawi but will the former stay the mile on softer going?
September 8, 2024 at 09:53 #1706651I’m on the Charyn train.

September 8, 2024 at 11:51 #1706656Have to keep tbe faith with ..
Notable Speech – WIN
generally 3/1
But cannot dismiss
Tribalist 12/1 EWA hopeful
Reverse Forecast playedThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 8, 2024 at 14:53 #1706662Well done Jac
September 8, 2024 at 14:55 #1706663Why was Charyn (and others) so far back?
wd winners.
September 8, 2024 at 15:00 #1706664I guess they expected a multiple G2 and G3 winner to be just a pacemaker. Returned 20/1 with the French Tote.
Well done Jac, he eventually saved me with his massive Tote price. But the race will be impossible to assess and Henry Longfellow and Notable Speech won’t have any excuses to offer today.
September 8, 2024 at 15:02 #1706665Not to be Billy Bashalot but the hoss has been winning in spite of De Sousa. Should be 4 time group 1 winner. I think he’s been very fortunate to get the ride in the first place.
September 8, 2024 at 15:08 #1706666Thanks Mike green and Ruby
Also couldn’t believe they let Tribalist get away like. He’s a Gp1 winner now.
Went in again at 22’s as my bet at 12’s deteriorated but thought I was looking at a place..nice surprise.. JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 8, 2024 at 15:08 #1706667Agree, Chivers. I was just wondering why Varian stuck to him. Hope he doesn’t lose the Bizakov hoses as well. But he wouldn’t be to blame, the horse was asked to do too much.
Ryan knew he was in trouble about four furlongs out, not so sure about SDS.September 8, 2024 at 15:09 #1706668Well done Jac. They gave him far too much rope thinking he would come back and how many times does this happen.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 8, 2024 at 19:52 #1706679Where next for Henry? Getting the impression he’s not that fond of softish ground – something quite likely in Ascot in 2nd half of October!
September 9, 2024 at 14:01 #1706688Called the winner with 5f to go. Terrible rides from the rest. Felt sorry for Charyn who was by far the best horse and did well to close the gap as much as he did.
I think Henry Longfellow needs 1m2f but definitely not the same horse at 3yo anyway.
I still don’t rate Notable Speech at all. He won a terrible Sussex with his only notable rival running below par and either side of that, he’s been hammered in 2 better races. They should give 6f a try as there’s no real star down there currently.
