True but you also might have to use a bit more petrol to get over from a wide draw on faster ground, which is why Frankie sat out wide for a lot longer than many thought was prudent whereas with very soft conditions those at the front might not be in as much of a rush to push the pace from the start (which is kind of what we saw today) so it is probably a little easier to break quick and come across from out wide.
It also helped that Golden Horn was a fair bit classier with more natural speed than most of those that were drawn out wide today.
