This was popular last year when we ran it on facebook (can’t remember if we ran it on the site) but anyway – a free £5 bet up for grabs on the King George courtesy of TRF to one lucky, lucky, lucky TRF’er!
What you have to do is to give the time from THE END OF THE CLOSING THEME TUNE until someone in EASTENDERS CHRISTMAS DAY EDITION (airing BBC1 9pm) says the words ‘Queen Vic or derivative (‘The Vic’ etc).
I’ll be timing it to the second and my decision on the time is final.
So, in minutes and seconds get your guesses in (on this thread) and I’ll contact the winner in the morning to get their selection so we can stick a festive fiver on it.
December 24, 2014 at 14:23 #499401Haha love the idea David. I’ll venture 6 mins 6 seconds.
December 24, 2014 at 14:25 #499402Entries close 8.45 pm tomorrow – one entry per person only.

Err, If it’s after the
Closing
Theme Tune, it’s unlikely anyone will be saying anything!
Do I win the prize?
Merry Christmas
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

December 24, 2014 at 20:27 #499425Adds a bit of interest as Mrs Carryonkatie watches the Enders religiously.
4mins 37 secs.
Merry Christmas TRFfers.
SeanDecember 24, 2014 at 21:52 #499430I’m not betting on this sort of thing….the insiders and their connections have it all sewn up.

The general public don’t stand a chance…..you won’t find the answer in the outdated formbook.
2 mins and 53 seconds.

More Bird Stuffing and less Carousing David.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

My inside source informs me that the opening line of the Christmas episode is:-
"You know, I was talking to The Ante Post King in The Queen Vic and he still seems to be delusional about Holywell in The Gold Cup next March"
Unfortunately for you Tommy, the line is spoken by Dennis Norden and it, therefore, takes 90 seconds to reach the words "Queen Vic"
The Caution quid is on
90 seconds
, which is how many Naps I tipped this year.
Yo, ho, ho, as I said to two prostitutes this evening.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
