    Handicapper has hiked the chaser Oscar Close (99 to 115 +16lbs) in this weeks revised ratings. Oscar as a sire seems to have caught the eye of the handicapper, or is it that his progeny are doing really well of late ?

    The form alone does not really warrant such a rise in the weights.
    The NH form does not inspire confidence although chase form obviosuly now with latest win has some merit. Here is record todate : 95/40996222/3853-4FP1

    Earlier weeks ratings rise have found his offspring hurdlers, Oscargo (+12lbs), Well Hello There (+13lbs), Oscar Charlie (+13lbs) all topping the revised weekly ratings.

    Oscar Close takes the opportunity of running before the revised handicap rating today, Ludlow 1.40pm. 7lb penalty but still has 9lb in hand.

    Is this a good thing, or was the handicapper having a bad day when he decided to hike this one further to many earlier poor runs ?
