July 16, 2024 at 14:42 #1701969I usually wait till after the first round, get a sense of how the main contenders are playing and how the course is shaping up. Worked for the US open; I had Bryson at 7-1
July 17, 2024 at 10:00 #1702011R McIlroy 10.5 Betfair. I know, he will probably blow it again! Also taken 18/1 to be first round leader.

R Fowler 200/1July 17, 2024 at 19:19 #1702029Collin Morikawa 14-1 ew 10 places for a bit of interest.
July 18, 2024 at 09:00 #1702046I meant to stick Justin Rose on before the start, bet365 had him at 175/1 which
is just too big. I’ve just woken up and he’s 1 inder after 4 so I’ve lost a few
pointsJustin Rose 150/1 (80/1 1st round leader market)
It’s a bit blowy out there but not as bad as it can be.
Good luck everyone

July 19, 2024 at 01:01 #1702092I could have done with Rose getting on more birdie, he was tied 4th but along
with 7 others. Still, I got 60 quid back for a tenner e/w. I’d love him to win
it, or at least stay in the place money at 150/1 although I’m not feeling that
optimisticJuly 19, 2024 at 09:54 #1702100I think he needs to putt better, BigG. He played very well from tee to green but holed hardly anything.
Nice of Sky to keep on showing every shot played by Tiger Woods (+8) but miss shots by his playing partner Xander Schauffle (-2 and third favourite at time of writing).
July 21, 2024 at 13:56 #1702386I agree Cork he needs to sink a few. Luckily the pack have come back to
him and he’s only 1 shot off the lead, with a host of others. I’m being
offered £400 by Paddy Power, but I’ve got to see how he gets off early
before coming to a decision. If he were to win it’s worth 3 grand, but
that’s a big IF. I’ll try to keep it real if it looks like it’s not going
so well.July 21, 2024 at 16:07 #1702400Cashed out at £860. I couldn’t let this cashout amount on Rose ride, not when at that time
he was joint leader and the pack was closing. Good luck to him anyway, I won’t feel it’s a loss
if he wins, just a calculated decision.July 21, 2024 at 19:33 #1702410wd winners
July 21, 2024 at 19:51 #1702411Schauffle and Rose
It would have been a better result if Rose had won but it was still a great outcome.
I also backed Lowry at 28/1 in running on Thursday, so I got a place return on him as well.
Schauffle deserved it. He was brilliant on the back nine when it mattered. The only player to birdie the 11th all day.
Good cash out decision, BigG!
July 22, 2024 at 09:29 #1702451Thanks Cork, and great one two with Schauffle and Rose, Darren had the winner
of the Barracuda at 50/1 so it seems to have been a good tournament all roundJuly 22, 2024 at 09:59 #1702452Thanks BigG. And well done to Darren with his 50/1 winner.
The 11th and 12th holes proved to be decisive. Schauffle’s birdie on the 11th was a big move. Then Rose and Lawrence both dropped shots on the 12th.
Neither of them really looked like winning after that, especially when Schauffle holed birdie putts on the 13th and 14th.
Rose played well enough to win most Opens. He just didn’t putt as well as Schauffle, especially on the back nine. To play those holes in 31 was a great effort and made Schauffle a deserving winner.
