This poor horse is fighting for his life after breaking a bone in his knee. It would be very nice to hear some positive news about him in the next few weeks.
Please don’t get me wrong, I’m not counting him dead. I would welcome any news on him, especially good news.
He fell in the Welsh National, to be more exact he took a somersault on the first circuit and it looked quite bad. Let’s hope the vets can get it done and he proves to be a good patient.
All the best to you One In A Milan!January 1, 2015 at 20:06 #500093I was amazed to see that he’d survived the fall and hoped that he would be ok. There are a lot of people willing him to survive this; c’mon One in a Milan.
January 2, 2015 at 08:41 #500120Sadly read this morning that he had been destroyed. They tried hard to save him; very sad.
January 2, 2015 at 09:13 #500121So sad to read this morning that One in a Milan had injured his knee and had to be pts … it was nothing short of a miracle that he wasn’t killed instantly followig that somersaulting fall in the Welsh National … but he did look to have got up OK … I never saw any info that there was any problem with him to this extent so this news comes as a shock … RIP One in a Milan
January 2, 2015 at 09:37 #500123This is so sad. Didn’t expect that kind of bad news so fast.
Poor horseJanuary 2, 2015 at 15:57 #500151Just found out that the information that he was dead, that had been doing the rounds on various horsey Facebook sites, was incorrect. He is still alive though be it in a serious state.
Some horrible person deliberately posted the false information, it seems, "for a laugh".
Lets hope that he recovers from his injury.January 2, 2015 at 16:47 #500156Phew, that is slightly better news. Let’s hope he pulls through. I never pay attention to Facebook when it comes to racing matters. Still trust the Sporting Life and RP sites.
Nevertheless the horse comes first and I’m delighted that the news proved wrong. At least for the time being.
Please give this horse all the chances and treatments he deserves.January 2, 2015 at 19:28 #500181Someone who works at Evan Williams is going to keep the FB thread informed … hope for good news … fingers crossed …
January 7, 2015 at 16:10 #500656jeesus I never had such a swing of emotions from a novel or film more than reading this thread. Hope the boy pulls through.
January 16, 2015 at 14:07 #501635Any news?
February 23, 2015 at 19:07 #752038Just spotted a message on the Facebook page posted on 14th Feb (in response to an enquiry)
"he is retired from racing and on full box rest"
I daresay there’s still a long way to go but still good news
February 23, 2015 at 19:41 #752046Excellent news. I think he is in very good hands and he has a very intelligent trainer who knows his horses quite well and also cares a lot especially when it comes to their preparations. Just think of State Of Play or Cappa Bleu and so on. I think he will get every possible chance to survive and make a good recovery.
All the best to you Milan and keep on fighting!!!February 23, 2015 at 19:56 #752049That is great news. He’s obviously being very well looked after.
February 23, 2015 at 20:26 #752055So pleased to hear this.
