On-course bookmaker worker

A friend of mine is looking to go to the dark side and become an on course bookie, i am to old to go and help out so he was asked me if i knew how much an experienced on course worker would cost him a day, not a clue why he asked me Does anyone know what the going rate is for this sort of work for a day?
