Which are the most prestigious Olympic events? Omit the expensive ones; equestrian/yachting/cycling etc, team games, and sports with more prestigious tournaments eg soccer/golf/tennis.
I’d suggest the 100 metres and 1500 metres track. Is the 100 metres track gold worth 10 dressage golds?I pass on any sports which rely on judging; gymnastics, diving, artistic swimming. This is not to demean their skills, just makes it more difficult for the lay person to watch. The rowing and canoeing have been great to watch

Yep. To be honest I struggle to feign interest in anything apart from track & field. 100 & 1500 definitely the cream but 200/400/800 & 5 & 10 thousand very close behind. Marathon too but my limited attention span means I rather struggle to actually watch it!
