[Peter Poston’s Ghost]

Just become aware that he was killed in a Hunter Chase at Hereford a few months ago.

I saw him win a Novice Hurdle at Wetherby a few years ago and he was one of the better novices in 04/05.
As a chaser he was highly tried. Probably his highlight was a victory at Ayr beating (amongst others) Madison du Berlais and Carraciola. He also finished second to River City in the Celebration Chase at Sandown beating Contraband and Hoo La Baloo.

He then went missing for a while (injured?) before returning as a Hunter Chaser where he met his sad end.

He won over £100,000 for connections and had an OR of 153 at one time.

R.I.P. Nyrche. You were a fine horse.
