Love a big priced Antepost in this, despite having had little (zero) success with it.
I’ve went with Equality who’s due to run in The Charge. I haven’t bet him today, and not too concerned whether he runs well or not at Sandown. I just like this type of race for the occasional strange result, and I thought him too big.

August 20, 2023 at 17:52 #1660288Was just scrolling through oddschecker and was very surprised to see Highfield princess 13/8 and bradsell 4/1
I was expecting them to be joint favs
So bradsell 4/1 seems a no brainer
He won the king stand on merit and looked all speed so York should suit well
August 20, 2023 at 19:04 #1660296I agree he must give her a race.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"August 24, 2023 at 23:17 #1660851Big Evs looks a cracking EW bet to 5 places with Skybet at 6/1 or so. Owner and trainer are way below the top table and must have some confidence to be committing more than 35% of the horse’s winnings so far in paying the £40,000 supplement.
The excellent Gerald Delamere tells me in his daily email – This colt has followed exactly the same route as Kingsgate Native in 2007 who was runner-up in the Windsor Castle and Molecomb Stakes. This colt, whose granddam won the Lowther Stakes won those two races and the only other juvenile winner – since Ennis in 1956 – Lyric Fantasy in 1992 was also a Royal Ascot winner in the Queen Mary.
August 25, 2023 at 05:13 #1660861Aesops Fable looks some e.w value , doubt we,ve seen the best of this 3 year old and given a break after a hard run on heavy I’ll pick him with Twilight who has Frankie up
August 25, 2023 at 11:02 #1660888My selections are Bradsell for the win and Get Ahead at 50s ew 4 places- should like the trip and ground.
August 25, 2023 at 11:08 #1660892This is an interesting one.
I think Highfield Princess is better way from Ascot and Bradsell is really good at Ascot. I wonder what will happen here?
August 25, 2023 at 11:17 #1660895Its either/or on the front two, looking for proven G1 form, Khaadem is my selection.
4th last year in this, only the Fav Highfield Princess reopposes from 2022.
Royal Ascot G1 6F winner with Jamie Spencer, now back on board, no margin for error over 5F
Lots of unproven G1 entries running in this, with the step up in class for some being the unknown.
Having watched the July Cup again, thought there was a moment about 2 out, short of room, although would not have won. Not expecting a win, looking for the place money.
E/W 22’s 4 places.August 25, 2023 at 11:18 #1660897I couldn’t call it either way myself Mike
But one is 13/8 and one is 5/1
Which makes no sense to me
Not like the track is a worry for bradsell having bolted up at York on debut
And after only 6 career starts and just 1 at 5f he is open to improvement which the princess isn’t
Honestly it’s almost a shame there’s 16 runners, hopefully some of the no hopers don’t get in the way
I want to see those two hitting the furlong pole side by side again

And after only 6 career starts and just 1 at 5f he is open to improvement which the princess isn’t”He won over 5f last time but that was a stiff 5 on good ground whilst drifting across the track. He had won at York but that was a maiden over 6f on good to soft. And he’s 4 lb worse off with Highfield Princess who suffered from a bit of ‘argy bargy’ there, now at a track we know she likes. He could easily win and be the next sprinting superstar who wanted 5f all along, but on the other hand the really fast York 5f may not be his bag which has stopped me from having a bet thinking maybe that the race may not be that complicated and Highfield Princess just wins again.
August 25, 2023 at 12:17 #1660913He looked to have bags of speed at ascot so the track doesn’t worry me personally
The worry would be that it was a fluke and he won’t do it again
But given he’s so unexposed and the price differential I had to back bradsell
I’d have them joint 5/2 favs personally
And not to forget the old rogue khaadem who also won at ascot and when he’s on a going day is a potential spoiler for the big two
August 25, 2023 at 13:35 #1660930Highfield Princess looks a good thing to me, but i’m not a short-priced punter.
So, an each way on Nymphadora for me, and also a small wager on Dramatised.
Best of luck to all today
August 25, 2023 at 15:21 #1660944I’m not a fan of short-priced favs in G1s and even though Highfield Princess might be a worthy one, I’ll go with Khaadem 18/1 and Dramatised 16/1 both EW.
HP could win well, but she’s facing much better opposition than at Goodwood and is worth opposing imo.
August 25, 2023 at 15:34 #1660946Bradsell is 4s w/o the fav, that will do for me
August 25, 2023 at 15:42 #1660947Come to racing, bet on racing, it’s not a lottery.
August 25, 2023 at 15:42 #1660948107 rated horse with no form wins a group 1
August 25, 2023 at 15:42 #1660949Loved that interview with the trainer, good luck to them in America. Nice looking horse.
