Thanks everyone. Enjoying it so far.
Yes, I’l Clerk at both Nottingham and Market Rasen. Can’t believe how much things have changed since I first joined TRF!April 27, 2010 at 13:50 #292777Moehat – I think Ruth Carr will have Tournedos winning races before too long, i’m keeping a close eye out and am just hoping to get involved after an "eyecatching" non-winning performance rather than missing a good priced winner He can’t really be backed with confidence until showing us something.
April 27, 2010 at 13:55 #292781I thought Tournedas was going to be about 100/1! Not worth the risk for @10/1. Having not backed Sam Sharp I now see there’s money going on him. Spice Fair was finishing very fast last time in the 7.35. However, I’m used to having small ew bets at 66/1..these prices not for me tonight. I’ll just be watching I think, but at least I now know what I’m watching.
April 27, 2010 at 13:57 #292782Thanks Sulekha.
Now for the really important question. Which bits of the course have you been chucking most water on? (Just a joke.)
April 27, 2010 at 14:21 #2927863 NRs in the 6.05, and after looking at past results, my bets on stalls 13 & 14 have now changed to 1 & 3 ! (2 NR.)
April 27, 2010 at 15:38 #292800Cumani wins the 7:05
Does he f***? Richie Hannon will take this race!

Mark Johnston horse has had 2 spins around AW to get him back into the swing of things after serious injury, promising horse whos season was always going to begin on turf and here we have it, 9-2? thank you very much
April 27, 2010 at 18:13 #292830What a load of rubbish in the 7.05. There’s no way on Gods green earth that Sam Sharp didn’t beat Shavansky, no way at all. The judge has got that wrong.
A great idea for RFC would be for the tv camera at the winning post to point straight across & not at an angle.
April 27, 2010 at 18:36 #292834One thing you could try and do please Sulekha is to get a race day Bus sorted out for Market Rasen as this would be a huge help for people who need to use Public Transport.
April 27, 2010 at 20:02 #292841Hi Sulekha , have you (collectively ) given any thought to moving towards the Towcester model , if ever a course deserved loads of appreciative folks its Nottingham
always love it at your course , and its a shame that most meetings only attract 500-600 people regularly
cheers
Ricky
April 27, 2010 at 21:09 #292848Rats. I did back Sam Sharp in the end. I’m still hurting. It was more of a nostril than a nose I think. Everyone seemed to have a great time tonight; the weather was lovely. We spoke a guy who had a free or cheap ticket from something called Voucher Mania; he seemed to be really enjoying himself as well. We didn’t pay because we had a free ticket from the Nottingham Evening post. One of the worst things about Nottingham Racecourse is actually finding the place, and I’m sure the directions to it have been greatly improved; even I could have found my way there, although I’m not sure if I could have found my way back. The Irish band were good as well, and I’m now going to dig out my old Chieftains tapes to listen to. Also got a voucher for next weeks racing on leaving, which is a good idea. I do so wish they still had jumping there, though.
April 27, 2010 at 21:16 #292851Seriously Moe, we should all write to the BHA, Sam Sharp was ROBBED!
Imperial Commander beat Kauto Star at Haydock & Sam Sharp won tonight. The photo finish technology stinks!
