Some of the high praise for Willy Twiston-Davies got me thinking. (I am clearly having a productive morning getting nothing i need to get done, done)

With the likes of Timmy Murphy, AP and Johnson not getting any younger who do we think will be getting the big jobs in a few years time?

Personally I would eat my figurative hat if Daryl Jacob and Aidan Coleman haven’t got huge jobs in the next 3 years.

Jeremiah McGrath must be en route for big things too?

Sam Twiston-Davies I would be really interested to see take a post that wasn’t given to him by his dad.

So who do you lot think?

Timmy Murphy a top jockey?? how does this guy get so much more credit than he deserves. Its baffling

    The Twisty boys are good

Conor O Farrell best young jockey in England by a mile for me….a bit like barzalona on the flat…all class!!!!

    Hi Emmy

In my view Paul Gallagher is the most talented young pilot thai I have seen for a while. (Mind you my opinions might be suspect apparently as I also rate Timmy Murphy as one of the best jockeys of his generation !)

Jerry McGrath will get the backing of the Henderson team so he looks to be well on his way on that front – whether he can carry it forward once he’s ridden out his claim (which IMO is a certainty) is another matter entirely.

Paul Townend is the best young jockey around at the moment IMO though as others have said I’ve been impressed by Connor O’Farrell.

S A Gray (Stephen is it?) over in Ireland has impressed me a lot on the flat, won’t be claiming 10lbs for long that’s for sure and I’m told he’s ridden more than his fair share of winners in pony races.

Adam Wedge has been out for a while with a broken leg sustained I think at Stratford but he’s another very good young jockey who’s had a good start to his pro career after a good couple of years in points.

Be nice to see Mikey Fogarty get the top job at Colm Murphy’s in a couple of years, he’s done very well in bumpers this season.

I’ve seen Peter Carberry ride a few winners recently, is he from the same family of Paul, Philip and Nina?

Big fan of young Peter Carberrys, horses running through the blood of that family!I’ve been impressed by young Kielan Woods in the few races i seen him ride in!In Ireland there’s a young gasson i’ve been following for the last year or so and has ridden a good few winners, reminds me of Paul Carberry, Keith donoghue always seems to have a horse settled really well and travelling strongly, really think he could be top drawer! :D

There are a few that are going to be class.

Paul Townend (looks class, although does sometimes ride like he is on an odds on favourite every time)

Peter Carberry (tries his heart out every time and rides very well)

Conor O’Farrell (been impressed with what i have seen so far)

Derek O’Connor (rode Chicago Grey very well at Cheltenham)

A Conlon (sorry can’t spell his firstname but he always rides well)

    Sam and Willie Twiston-Davies

    Aodhagan ;)

Derek O’Connor is already a top jockey but he makes enough riding in points and in amateur races so unlikely to turn pro at any time (also a good few years older than the others you mention).

On the subject of Derek O’Connor, himself and Jamie Codd are giving us a thrilling finish to the point to point riders championship.

Two brilliant riders, who I’d rate as better than most of the pro’s.
