Pitt the foetus was the youngest on record – or am I confusing real life with Blackadder?
Again.

No she does not, alas. I am not going to libel her!
A young woman at work did once say I looked amazing for my age – but she was comparing me with someone who was born just a few days before me to whom the years have not been particularly kind. It was not much of a compliment really.
September 6, 2022 at 11:43 #1613521I’d take that CAS without questioning it!

Oops, am i allowed to use the “fat” word these days?
September 6, 2022 at 18:37 #1613585Don’t worry, I’m sure the number zero won’t get offended at being called fat.
Couldn’t care less if the PM is male, female, black, white or anything else. We could do with a competent one. Enough with the identity politics 😉
September 7, 2022 at 23:04 #1613729This chap Bill keeps appearing on the news and current affairs programme – an annoying rather boring chap, and I’ve no idea who he is ?

September 11, 2022 at 19:00 #1614384I’ve just realised who her interview voice reminds me of ….remember Metal Mickey ….boogey boogey , it would be wrong to she,s taking advantage of the situation to prolong her honeymoon period …absolutely wrong …absolutely

What honeymoom period, the no sitting of Parliament until after the Queen’s funeral.

September 12, 2022 at 04:35 #1614445Or as with Maggie a unelectable opposition leader ( Foot/Kinnock ) or a megalomaniac union leader ( Scargill ) , Truss has had a helping hand start ….let’s see if she gets a mild winter
September 12, 2022 at 09:35 #1614474If I was advising Truss, I would recommend hiring a voice coach.
Her voice does not inspire confidence and her delivery is wooden and does not make you want to listen. Her stilted speech in the Commons on Friday sounded like it had been written by a committee, which it probably was. Even Theresa May managed to sound more authentic.
Maybe I am being unfair because Truss could not have expected her tenure as Prime Minister to begin in such extraordinary circumstances. But she has not impressed as having any sort of gravitas.
It does seem a little ironic that one of the contenders she defeated, Penny Mordaunt, had a starring role at the Accession Council and performed it to acclaim.
September 12, 2022 at 09:41 #1614476I don’t understand why everyone was raving about Mordaunt’s performance yesterday.
All she did was read from a script and look sombre; it was hardly Oscar-winning stuff.
September 12, 2022 at 09:52 #1614480I think you are right Glad but she still seemed a more authoritative presence than Truss, who looks like an over-promoted schoolgirl.
