But you can give them to the birds and bees.January 14, 2024 at 09:13 #1677304HONOURABLE MENTION
This race threw quite a few of us.
WRONG PLACE
Kendicate and Chiver1987 both had the runner up as their winner, while
007CanfordCliffs, Raymo61, Euroalien, Dfward, Nathan Hughes, Steve75, Triptych and Greenasgrass did the same for the third placed horse (unlucky guys).
Nathan and Euro also had the runner up as a reserve horse.
Illavim and myself also had a placed horse as a reserve. Illavim had the fourth and I had the runner up.

ROBNORTH takes top spot this week with an impressive score he nearly had quite an impressive tricast to as his reserve horse got fourth. He did get the forecast as well as the winner.
Robnorth’s old score (+374.14) – stake (100) + winnings (1,081.25 + 166.23) = new score (1,521.62)
QUELLE FARCE and JOHN GOOCH didn’t do badly themselves by find points from the fourth placed horse.
Quelle Farce’s old score (-660.94) – stake (100) + winnings (200) = new score (-560.94)
John Gooch’s old score (-493.12) – stake (100) + winnings (200) = new score (-393.12)
STEVE75 was the only other one to find points this week from the runner up.
Steve75’s old score (+500) – stake (100) + winnings (53.12) = new score (+453.12)

First: The usual but all important check your scores for errors and let me know if I’d made any.
I will correct it if any are found ASAP.Second : Most of the races will be of the National Hunt except when the main venue gets cancelled for reasons or the Lincoln in spring.
Third : With a race that took a person with real vision to crack we have a new leader with RobNorth, who taken the best forecast with it from (er himself). He’s also set a real target to catch and I hope he’s benefited financially too.
Fourth : As always I must give my acknowledgement to Pat123 for inspiring this competition
P.S. For anyone interested my Cheltenham Antepost competition has started with some changes to it, please check it out and it’s not too late to enter it at the start. The still time to adjust those Champion Hurdle and Gold Cup selections or enter those selections for new players and this week it’s the Champion Chase and Arkle.

But you can give them to the birds and bees.January 14, 2024 at 18:05 #1677372Sadly I didn’t have a penny on my selections in the Lanzarote, just betting in cash when I’m on course in the main now. However, in terms of this competition, it was a pleasant experience to be calculating which one I should be cheering on most after the last hurdle!
January 14, 2024 at 22:22 #1677398I know the feeling, in the 1998 Grand National I had money on Earth Summit at 25/1 and Suny Bay at 11/1 and knew I couldn’t lose unless they both fell. Also covered the forecast, and also had 3 other selections. One point in running they were first, second and third. Earth Summit was the best payout, but in the heat of the moment I didn’t care which way they finished.
