Michael Walsh was unlucky with having the 5th place (ERNE RIVER) as his EW shot.
Raymo61 had a double blow in that he had the third place horse (CHARLIE UBERALLES) as a reserve and the narrowly beaten (FORWARD PLAN) as his win choice, this was also Illavim’s and Steve75 choice to win too. BigG went for the fourth place (SAIL AWAY)
Venture To Cognac had the winner as his reserve horse.
While Landafar and Chiver1987 had the runner up as their reserve.

I normally start with the person who selected the winner, but in picking a 50/1 third it’s ROBNORTH yet again, what’s your secret rob.
Robnorth’s old score (+1,421.62) – stake (100) + winnings (337.50) = new score (+1,659.12)
With the narrowest of victory Annual Invictus won for LANDAFAR
Landafar’s old score (-231.25) – stake (100) + winnings (550) = new score (+218.75)
JOHN GOOCH was on the flip side, thought it was nearly a dead heat.
John Gooch’s old score (-493.12) – stake (100) + winnings (+93.75) = new score (-499.37)
TRIPTYCH and WYLDESYDE both got points from the fourth place.
Triptych’s old score (-56.25) – stake (100) + winnings (100) = new score (-56.25)
Wyldesyde’s old score (-750) – stake (100) + winnings (100) = new score (-750)

First: The usual but all important check your scores for errors and let me know if I’d made any.
I will correct it if any are found ASAP.Second : Most of the races will be of the National Hunt except when the main venue gets cancelled for reasons or the Lincoln in spring.
Third : As always I must give my acknowledgement to Pat123 for inspiring this competition

Charlie Uberalles looked an outstanding price if you discounted a blow out in desperate conditions at Chepstow. Liked the horse from the time I first spotted him at Kelso in May 2022 when he had ‘chaser’ written all over him, and did me a nice favour when winning on chasing debut at Perth. He’ll win a decent staying chase before long and if it’s a day we are racing then my wife will be on as she backs Dianne Sayer’s horses blind!
January 27, 2024 at 18:15 #1678866Cheers Rob, great selection with the third
Your way out in front and it will take some good selections to catch you.
