Saturday June 25th 2022
This competition will last until the November Handicap is schedule. Which I calculate to be in 27 weeks from the start. A prize is being offered for those who complete 9 weeks or more, some will probably have holidays booked, etc which after 2 years of lockdown is understandable. I myself have a couple of weeks booked in June so BigG (Graham) has offered to step in for them weeks.
I’ll try and keep to the big handicaps on the TV for the main race.
Like season 2 places are the equivalent to Bookmakers standards for up to 20 runners;
that 2 for 5 to 7;
3 for 8 to 15;
4 for 16 to 20.
However for races with 21 to 24 I’m going 5 places, 25 to 28 6 places : anything above that 7 places.Place odds are calculated at quarter odds
Stakes are 50 points for the win, 25 EW for the Each Way (50) and 1 point reverse forecast for the C.S.F
You selected 2 horses one win, one place (must be different horses) and any profit (winnings – stake ) I will let you know. Should less than 2 actually run then I will only take the runner and calculate it as written.
Your allowed as many reserves as you like and I’ll calculate them as instructed. You are also permitted to alter your mind, before the deadline of the race. I’ll only use your last instructions.
The prize money offered is
First prize is £50
Second prize is £35
Third prize is £15
Prize for best C.S.F is £10 which is decided by
1 If 2 forecasts pay the same but one is the straight way and the other is reverse way,then the straight way wins.
2 If 2 forecast are the same but picked in different weeks, then the earlier forecast wins
3 If 2 or more forecast are the same and picked the same way and same week, then will pay out all.
Neil is having a couple of well earned holiday weeks, so unfortunately you’ve got
me to keep you right. I’ll put up the results of the race, but Neil will be counting
up the points on his return. Best of Luck

The Northumberland Plate Handicap at Newcastle 3.30 is the easy one to solve
this week.Best of Luck
