No mention of RWF in Gordon’s stable tour was a bit strange

Like all stable tours it’s only a select list. Wouldn’t be looking into that at all.

If I fancied a horse for a Cheltenham festival race I’d be worried if it didn’t even make the stable tour list

Fair enough, i wouldn’t, considering he can’t list them all, and he’s got to put some bumpers, hurdlers etc that Blake or whoever will have wanted to include.

Had every intention of betting Ontheropes for this before Munster National, but it was insane at work on Sunday, and I missed it. Currently considering the 14’s, but think I’ll wait now until I see next race plans. I’d love NRNB on him, but he’ll surely be out long before that kicks in.

Bet two for this during Cheltenham last season, Stattler and Pure Genius.

I was delighted with the 33’s on Stattler beforehand, but I’m not sure he’s done enough to be current price. I want to see a lot better if he sees a fence this year. I’m happy with Pure Genius, but hoping he doesn’t stay over hurdles (obviously)

One of my biggest betting races of the week this, and I’ll surely add a few as the season continues. Don’t really do this anymore, but there might be an option for me to do a “mini book” here.

There’s loads who appeal, and on my radar are…..

    Coach Carter N/Q
    Gars De Sceaux 40’s
    Grand Paradis 40’s
    James Du Berlais 25’s

I’ll stick with this pair for now….

    Stattler 33’s

    Jungle Boogie 25-1.

Stable will have speedier types for the RSA; this gelding looks like he’ll stay longer than the mother in law and has the size and scope to make a fine chaser. Could see him develop into a Gold Cup contender in 2023.

    So far i’m on:

The Bosses Oscar- 25/1- earmarked for this, don’t actually like the horse tbh, never got the general talk around him for any of his races so far at the festival, but if there’s a race that Elliot gets horses right for, it’s this one IMO. If he’s the one then, he’s <5/1. He doesn’t fit most of Elliot’s usual types for this, but we’ll see. Needs to win a race first lol.

Ontheropes- 25/1- Negative for me is he hasn’t had a load of racing so far, so was risking backing him this far out, especially when he could have handicap aspirations-buttt, the handicapper has made that much much difficult with his new mark. To my eye, he had tonnes left so i can see why mr handicapper put him up so much. He’s my number one for this regardles, i think he’s very good and would beat TBO.

The bosses Oscar got beaten yesterday and looked pretty slow

Youd think this or the irish national will suit him

    Hopefully this

Really liked the run of Alfa Mix yesterday at Galway, and he’s well on the radar for this. Surprised he’s not listed for this yet.

Edit, probably a good thing he’s not listed, as adding Grand Paradis at 40’s.

I really like this horse, and I’ll throw a few quid his way at 40’s, and also Festival Novices at 28’s. I hope he doesn’t flop, but it does looks a tough old race tomorrow. Cashed Out

Damn. Willie Mullins’ stable tour has Jungle Boogie staying over hurdles. He sounds keen on Stattler for this.

Good run from Run Wild Fred today over an inadequate trip.

That he ran in todays race over such a short trip makes me think they are eyeing up either the irish or English national

His next entry will reveal more I guess

Doesn’t have the right profile for a National winner. 0 from 8 and a novice.

    Elliott on Run Wild Fred…

“I think the National Hunt Chase could be written all over this horse. Michael (O’Leary) might have different ideas and it’s a long time from here to March. I think the race is made for him and I’m a big believer in going for the race you think you can win.”
