Going with Elmalka hoping her Ascot run was a blip and the extra furlong being in her favour.

She may not be up to this level, and was put in her place last time, but as b365 are tempting me I’m going to give Lumière Rock another go at 66-1 ew.

I like Elmalka too RTB but have to give See The Fire – 18/1
one last chance in this to spring a surprise.
I’ll do both EW and also add a rev. forecast.
    Good luck.. :good: Jac

Varian is in great form at the moment and Elmalka could improve for this trip. She isn’t very big so lacks scope in the long term, but has had only 4 races in her life so could yet improve.
Opera Singer beat Elmalka at Royal Ascot and could progress for the step up to 10f herself. Could also get the run of the race if taking up her usual mile prominent tactics. However, has been easy to back today. Maybe was short compared to Elmalka, but it is a negative considering the stable’s runners seem to rarely win when weak in the market. Time yet to shorten.
Sparkling Plenty won the Prix Diane. On form with Tamfana has only slightly better form than Elmalka but a bit less likely to improve. Unless they go too quick it may prove tricky if trying to come from near last to first like she did in France.
Emily Upjohn imo went for home too early off a good pace in Ireland last time out… And yet was only just pipped by King George 2nd Bluestocking. That form may well be good enough if the three year olds don’t improve, But if back to her best of last year she’ll win the vast majority of renewals. Market move a positive.
Stay Alert disappointed in that race, but could do better on this firmer going. imo Overpriced on her Newmarket form with Running Lion.
The others don’t really look good enough.

I’ve backed Em, Elm and Stay with saver on Singer.

WD Jac for keeping the faith with See The Fire, I thought for one moment she might get there on the line for you but hoping you did back her ew as you mentioned.

I did back See The Fire EW seeingstars , thank you :yahoo: like you I dared to dream that she might just get there but Opera Singer fought back and was a worthy winner.
See The Fire has run her best race yet so pleased for her. Jac

    Very well picked Jac.
Couldn’t see her making the improvement needed, myself. I was very wrong.
tbh See The Fire has improved her form more there than either Opera Singer or Sparkling Plenty… Which is good for STF’s future.
