Couldn’t find the old Nanton thread but are all the other members of his fan club happy to see him win again? I was over to moon to see it but would have been even happier if I’d backed him. What a horse!
June 15, 2013 at 15:48 #442849Brought a tear to my eye, Moe. Bless him.
June 15, 2013 at 23:36 #442885I was kicking myself for not backing him but all credit to the wonderful old boy for getting his nose in front, must have been a dream ride for his amateur lady jockey.
Well done Nanton
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...June 15, 2013 at 23:42 #442887The old boy finished the race off like Canford Cliffs.!!!!

June 16, 2013 at 00:40 #442894Crackentorp and Reve De Nuit set it up for Nanton beautifully today. It was one of those wonderful moments like Kauto Star v Imperial Commander in the Betfair Chase. I thought Nanton had just failed as they went past the post, but was absolutely delighted to be wrong.
June 16, 2013 at 08:00 #442902I’m still kicking myself for not backing him the year he was placed in The Ebor but still remember how gorgeous he looked walking round that beautiful pre parade ring at York under the shadow of the trees. There’s something about a horse with that style of running, isn’t there. Dare I mention Nanton in the same breath as Dancing Brave? Well, I have….[there’s always a first].
