wish you luck james ,
i was surprised squires gate went down but hadnt backed it at 2/7 anyway and never fancied oondiri so didnt back that one , but did like sarrsar which could only manage third but will be backing native picture and maybe pickwick although 16 runner race does worry me at 11/10 so may leave that alone . good luckAugust 2, 2010 at 19:10 #310631Well done
orangefleece
it looks like you made a profit

August 2, 2010 at 19:25 #310633My dear old Dad used to say to me "there is more than one way to skin a cat" or something like that anyway, he was old then and I am old now so the memory can play tricks.
My point being guys is
Chuckypud
has offered up a high strike rate system from which he is making a profit and some may say there is no need to fix what does not require mending but there are ways (perhaps) maybe to increase such profit.
MERDS, stands for MrE’s Rolling Doubles and if you take the time to look through his postings all will be explained. In a nutshell he believed it was hard if not impossible to make a profit from betting "odds on" but he boosted his returns with rolling doubles.
Without looking at
Chuckypud
‘s data it can only be guesswork but betting 4 nap selections only and betting win singles at odds against maybe good but betting odds on and rolling up any winnings onto doubles maybe, could be, if
MrE
is right make this idea a BIG WINNER indeed.

August 3, 2010 at 00:31 #310663todays selections for consideration are
2.00 catterick: CAMPOS 3 naps 7/4 won at evens fav
2.30 catterick STRIKEMASTER 3 naps 11/8 lost
3.15 chepstow: MISS DUTEE 5 naps 6/5 lost
8.05 southwell : SIMONSIDE 3 naps 4/1 lost
25 % strike rate again, i bet campos well left strikemaster and miss dutee alone and had a nibble on simonside as had watched him just lose last time a few weeks ago .
August 3, 2010 at 08:38 #310683Hey
chuckypud
, you should change your name to Night-Owl.
Have a word with
Matron
I am sure some Horlicks can be found somewhere in Ward 7.
Your 5 napper Miss Dutee has cropped up several times for me already today, fingers crossed

August 3, 2010 at 08:56 #310684lol billion ,
i am a bit of a night owl yes ,sometimes i start doing something and instead of gettin tired i just feel wide awake instead , i stayed up late last night working out what would have happened if i had layed all the favourites in every race here and in ireland last week on bet fair as joined the site last night and found it very interesting to watch the markets from the races at windsor and carlisle and whether i’d lay any of the horses . was so strange to go from thinking which horse will win to which one will lose.
i did notice miss dupree fitted into the majestic system , not sure if that means i have to back it once or twice today as for yesterday i chose maimi gator in that carlisle race again and it won even better than it did on saturday .August 3, 2010 at 10:20 #31069610 o’clock and I am all in
chuckypud
and certainly don’t need any Horlicks or visits from Matron.
Laying in my opinion is for the brave, tried it and hated it, the little brown rose was working overtime but wish you well if you give it a whirl.
What I wanted to ask you is there any easy way of checking for multiple naps rather than scrolling up and down on the naps table itself?
Lazy, yeah!
But also it does my poor old eyes in and makes them go crossed and hazyI am not sure if it will help me but I did use it today as a selection breaker to reduce the numbers for my Renaissance (method) system.

August 3, 2010 at 11:09 #310707i dont think there is a way of it telling you how many have multiple naps , you could make the page size bigger on your comp for a few minutes whilst you scroll up and down it or just rely on me to post them as they are made available after midnight for the next day so i will do it then if not first thing . i find to take in all the horses on the list helps bring attention of other horses running that are fancied , like yesterday there was 3 horses that nearly qualified receiving two naps , which were george adamson which won well , and parvaas who has been selected by the system twice in the last month and had won and lost so i did back this again and it won nicely and invincible lad received two naps and won nicely too but i didnt back it .
like i said previously ive noticed horses that dont win do tend to win next time out like borderlescott was napped 5 times 8/13f on the 10th july and came 3rd but won next time out which was on thursday at goodwood at 9/2f but hadnt received 3 naps that day . same thing with hawkeyethenoo , received 5 naps 11/4 on 16th july at hamilton and came nowhere then won next time out up at york at 7/1 with out getting the 3 naps required .
same with eucharist , that received 4 naps 11/2 on 27th june and came 3rd and has won the last two times eves and 100/30f even though it didnt get the naps required, so when the system fails being that the horse doesnt run well or is unlucky in running etc they do tend to make up for it next time as they are good progressive horses alot of the time .
hanoverian baron is another , 3 naps 100/30 f on 3rd july run no race came 9 out of 13 then won next time out at ascot on the 23rd at 3/1 but didnt get the naps .
film festival 3 naps 2/1f 14th july came 2nd won next time out on the 25th july at 14/1.have just done some figures on next time out runners who lost first time and out of 26 races have had 10 winners , a 40% strike rate and at £1 staked returned a profit of £22.62
August 3, 2010 at 14:31 #310750…….. and so
chuckypud
, there is no easy way other than scrolling up and down. I feel a trip to SpecSavers coming on.
You make some interesting comments and am sure there can be some very valid reasons as to why they do not perform as expected.
I remember a system for handicap races which stated first and foremost delete ALL horses that won their previous race. Possible weight issues.
Most of the most napped I guess won LTO which has drawn the attention of the tipsters and maybe the trainer has chosen a better class race or experimented with distance.
Perhaps these factors prove to be of no value and then they simply revert to tried and tested ways, who knows?

August 3, 2010 at 14:51 #310756Eye test abandoned.
I had a gut feeling there was an alternative to scrolling up and down and had the feeling it was connected to racecards . . .
somewhere
.
Betdaq is interesting, at the top of the race
"prices"
card there is a little heading TIP CHECK which although of little value for Nap finding does give all the daily paper’s selection for the race under consideration. Could there be an embryonic system here?
However The Sporting Life web site race cards is the answer, to the extreme right of the race cards shows the number of naps (if any) for every horse.
It is a little laborious as each race must be checked in isolation but leaves very little, if any, scope for errors.

August 3, 2010 at 19:22 #310819what you can do billion , when you click on the naps table is in the bottom right corner it says 100% , if you click on it will change to 125% and the text will get bigger and another click bigger still . can mae it easier then

I actually went for Miss Dutee ….with it having 5 naps ….ran way too free …bloody tipsters …they know nothing ….!!!!
August 4, 2010 at 08:52 #310855unlucky james ,
only one selection today :
2.10 ponterfract holiday carnival 3 naps lost
not too sure myself why its been napped as does seem to be quite a competetive race , film festival who’s been napped before , won by 4 lengths last time in a class 3 , and river ardeche looks to have dropped to a favourable mark now and has gone close last 2 runs and umverti seems in good form too .
i will watch the market and see if that helps me decide whether to back it or not and it is an apprentice race too so not veyr confident myself on this oneAugust 4, 2010 at 09:08 #310859‘morning
