I’ve added Weet A Round to my notebook yesterday as he was certainly unfit but still managed to finished 5/20. A trainer that clearly doesn’t abide to the rules (been warned off here & in different countries) but I expect this one to be in the winners enclosure sooner rather than later probably with a huge gamble to boot!
11/03/03 Unplaced
22/03/03 Unplaced (never put in the race)
After researching deeper I think it’ll be worth waiting until this one returns to 6 furlongs on Good or firmer ground as it’s clearly ready to win when the money will be down.
10/05/03 1st @ 6/1 (over 6f)

Ridgeback ran a cracker from a very slow stands side and was beaten a mere 1.75 lenghts by horses much better drawn, coming home over 6 lenghts clear of the others racing that side and most of those drawn well looks a good thing for a future race.
10/05/03 1st @9/4
May 10, 2003 at 11:21 #8454210 May,
Weet a Round wins at 6/1 (over 6f)
And Ridgeback runs today but again has a bad draw.
May 10, 2003 at 12:28 #84543Ignore my bad draw comment for Ridgeback as this is not the case.
May 10, 2003 at 23:28 #84544Well done, Daylight.
May 11, 2003 at 06:42 #84545Ridgeback also wins, well spotted DL
6/1 & 9/4
September 15, 2003 at 22:09 #84546It’s Ecco Boy has been knocking on the door recently and will win a poor race very soon. I’ve had this one in my notebook for 3 months now but hasn’t quite done enough to get in here but I am certain the horse is extremely genuine and will win very soon.

September 16, 2003 at 14:58 #84547Runs today but it looks a much hotter race than he’ll be up to winning so although I’ve had a couple of quid on at 50’s I doubt today will be his day but when he drops in grade that will be the time hopefully.
September 17, 2003 at 16:29 #84548Ran well again today finishing 4th to H Harrison(after finishing 6th to Atavus yesterday),just that worrying niggle that the horse doesn’t win very often.
September 22, 2003 at 16:55 #84549That worrying niggle GD, is something that you have become accustomed to of late ;)
September 27, 2003 at 22:10 #84550Western Commander showed all the ability to be fully justified to be marked down as a future winner over hurdles after an unlucky 4. had no room but showed enough of a turn of foot to win at a less busy race very soon.
September 30, 2003 at 13:54 #84551Another one for Lisa as Its Ecco Boy wins at Nottingham, hope you were on DL.
September 30, 2003 at 18:58 #84552I believe Lisa has now lost her 5lb claim. :o
September 30, 2003 at 21:12 #84553I was indeed GD to a healthy stake:biggrin:
Pity she’s banned and not able to ride for us tomorrow though!
October 13, 2003 at 23:05 #84554Sorry, the horse is called Western Ridge and is entered at Stratford on Saturday.
