Dancing Tornado certainly looks the one to beat there today but it does depend if McCoy is passed fit to ride. However his price is too short so it might be looking elsewhere.
Wins Now fits virtually all the trends as does King Ali and a fair few have come via the Galway Plate to win this so consider The Last Derby.
It is a wide open race (although the betting would have you think it is a foregone conclusion) so is anything else worth considering???
October 10, 2010 at 07:54 #321623I like the look of The Last Derby, if he runs the race that’s in him, he’ll be a big threat.

So don't run, just like the others always do
October 10, 2010 at 09:58 #321654Race is too open to have a bet on. Could make a case for every horse in the race
. Tinakellylad has beaten Kempes and come second to Sizing Europe [not bad] and Paddypub loves Limerick [Paul Townend on board as well]. The Last Derby looks good
and Duers has Ruby on board. Add Mossbank to the mix as well and it’s fascinating. For once may have the sense to keep my pennies in my pocket . Think the Cesarewitch may be easier to solve….
October 10, 2010 at 14:57 #321695Fisher Bridge for me! gl all

Fair to say I’m not overly enamored with Davy Condon’s effort in the latter part of the race!
Sometimes all you can do is laugh…

I have to say, it seemed a very tentative ride after the last, seemed to almost pause for a few seconds, then thought ‘yeh, let’s get after him now’.
A game effort from Golden Kite though.
Dancing Tornado’s jumping was quite poor today, kept jumping out to his left and running down his fences, not a good performance from the favourite.

Not a horse i know a great deal about to be completely honest.
October 10, 2010 at 17:11 #321725I’m one of Davy Condon’s biggest fans but I can’t understand what he was at there.
I’ve always been of the opinion that Dancing Tornado is a bit of a pig and I made up my mind after Listowel never to back him again. If he’d have jumped like his stablemate Mr Cracker in the last, he’d have had some sort of chance.
October 10, 2010 at 18:02 #321736Montero ran a corker. Really glad to see him come 5th.
October 10, 2010 at 20:00 #321748I know this is the dreaded ‘aftertiming’ but I backed Golden Kite, Agus a Vic, Duers and Royal Blood in the end. A much needed confidence boost pour moi on a race that completely did my head in. Was looking for ew place value and struck lucky.

hi moehat!well done for having the winner
!i was on agus a vic, but he never had any chance from out the back…October 11, 2010 at 14:11 #321837Thanks; I wanted Agus a Vic to do well..I guess he should have stayed hunter chasing. I ignored Fisher Bridge because he’d only won over 20f and didn’t seem to have competed at Limerick. A lot of horses to keep an eye on from this race. Pleased for Adrian Maguire as well.
October 11, 2010 at 14:43 #321845yes, i am happy for him too! was a big fan of him in his riding days…
