    Hi Billion
Put your system into HRB but left the claimers in but put some trainers
in 58% strike 94% place not a lot of qualifiers only 32 this year.

This I am finding what is a problem rab123 with this cautious style of betting. I have to make a master list from 3 systems (possibly now 4) which today offered up 14 (plus 2) and yet I had none from one of the systems which is unusual. From the master list of 14 I was very happy to choose 5. 2 have gone down and one 2nd is leaving me with a little to make up this evening.

The funny thing is I was a bit down not getting the results I wanted, even at small stakes they soon build to an unhealthy amount when it goes wrong but thank goodness our good friend MrE imparted some wise words regarding what he terms as “Money Management” and it struck a chord with me.

The rot was stopped straight away but the profits are slow to build but when added to what I had been losing the difference is considerable and I fill quite miffed when non profit days come along.

Learning to live with missed opportunities can be hard such as yesterday via the Top n& Tail system I posted an 8/1 winner but because it fell outside my self imposed rules I did not risk a bet.

The self imposed rules are very much about the same as I posted here in order to reject the high risk bets and concentrate on those with more solid chances. Removing the likes of maiden and novice races and bumpers of course cuts the risks down as does putting a cross through apprentice, lady and amateur riders. Don’t get me wrong there is a place for all and systems can be built around everything I have put a line through but it helps me control the numbers and then there are my final two No No’s which are avoiding races with less than 8 runners so that 3 places are available and horses away from the races for more than 90 days.

Get through that lot and there is not so much left on which to work and that is why there will always be only a select few but I am hoping for quality not quantity.

    The dream is still alive.

Blooming heck rab123 what you are saying sounds dreadful but I hope you are feeling somewhat better.

I checked the GOING around the country and it is not as bad as I feared.

I am always more than cautious when Bank Holiday Weekends come round because many years ago I lost a packet. It was a learning curve because I was chasing my losses but I have never forgot the damage it may have caused.

So over this weekend I will not poke my nose into NH cards and only consider betting any of my selections if they have a top class, number one, quality rider in the saddle just like the two I put up earlier with Jim Crowley and Joe Fanning.

    Take care.

Hi Rab…. nice to see you still giving some moral support to old Bill, he’s been a bit down lately. It’s difficult to know what to do with him after Matron gave him free access to all the dormitories in Ward 7, I suspect that it’s time he came in for a service.

As I posted the other day I have a dislike for Bank Holiday Weekend racing and so will give the whole thing a miss until Tuesday.

I have a couple of possible interest for today Tuesday: –

CURIOUS FOX 4.40 Lingfield being the “F” horse and forecast at 6/1 but also 6/4 for a T3 finish . .WON 7/1

UPHOLD 9.10 Wolverhampton is the “SF” horse but is not given a price in the Mirror. The early morning market shows it as 12/1 6fv and 11/4 T3 finish. NR

    G’day Rab123,

I have just checked in to revise the rules and progress seeing that you have posted again today having had a little break.

My curiosity is piqued having myself ventured back into the land of multiples having revised my own failing Special “K” selection method which in fact almost landed a BIG UN on Friday but just like a fisherman it got off the hook with the final race just as I was thinking of ways to spend such ill gotten gains.

Looking at today’s selections it appears you are sticking to Bown Owl’s original rules but I cannot help but think if I were to proceed with them I could pick holes in a couple of them.

AGENTLEMAN is the outsider of the betting forecast and does not have a Spot Form rating. 3rd 7/2

TAXMEIFYOUCAN as with all the race runners does not have any form whatsoever. WOW! Won 5/1

I think I said way back, I quite like the idea because it is so reminiscent of a past plan once suggested to me which I chose to ignore.

Have you any recent record of how well you have done or suggestion of improvements etc.

    :bye: :bye: :bye:

Perhaps the results speak for themselves

at the Racing Forum thinking what shall I back today as I could not find
a winner in a walk over at the moment and arrived on this system how lucky
can you get.I just looked at it this morning first time for ages no records.

I only wish I could remember the plan suggested to me all those years ago but it still feels like it was the SF selection nearest to 11/2 in the Mirror betting forecast and if none then revert to the F rated.

    I will be watching: –

    NABHAN 3.45 Ffos Las FcSp 11/2 available 5/1 early . . . . . . . . . Won 6/1

    SOCIETY SECRET 5.40 Wolverhampton FcSp 6/1 available 9/2 early . . . . Lost

    Both rated with an F
