Sadly a fatality in the Troytown Chase today at Navan. He fell just after three or four fences while making his reappearance after 580 days. He was a poor jumper of fences anyway and should have reappeared in a much easier race.
    Rest in Peace Mullaghanoe River

I hope that the other fallers were okay. Just wondering why all the horses fell in the straight. Is it because they are racing against the sunlight? Or am I wrong about this?

I watched the race Ruby, it didn’t sound good at the time, but I’m
    absolutely sick about this.

In the Troytown Handicap Chase thread in the Big Race Forum, Bobby and
Tommy had raised before the race the problem he had had with his back
and his jumping didn’t sound the best. I had hoped after the long lay
off he had that perhaps he would be sound now and his jumping improved.

Condolences to the owners and connections, they must be so depressed
    by this.
