    Good piece by Alan Sweetman in the Post today. Best of wishes in retirement to a good trainer who battled adversity with equanimity. Liked many of his horses over the years and even though it was trained by Dessie, it was a fitting tribute for In Compliance to go in Thurles.

    Michael is originally from just down the road from me. Hopefully Denis will continue on the success of the yard after taking on the licence and hopefully Michael will enjoy better health.

    Had one of my biggest ever Cheltenham wins when Kadoun won the Pertemps a few years ago for Michael.

    Always felt that his Senanjar could have made-up into a really top-class hurdler.
