Just as I’m getting the first 2 or 3 races sorted, I’ve
got Gentle Hurricane down for the 2nd, he has to have a fair shout.
But what’s more interesting is Willie Hill has Souixperb down at 80/1.
That’s a brave shout on their part, he may not win this but I (disagreeing
with the Racing Post, as I usually do) without going into it at this time
in the morning, think his form gives him at least a very reasonable E/W shout.
I can’t turn down an 80/1 chance,August 19, 2026 at 13:56 #1773653Graham, I have this image of you putting hurdles around your kitchen island for Marjorie to “navigate” during her physical therapy sessions. I have no doubt you’d have a small bet on her beating her “track record” too.
Good Luck with your bets today. Hopefully Souixperb will get into the frame and get you off to a good start!
August 19, 2026 at 18:12 #1773713I would if I could get away with it Andre 😉
She had her first go at the stairs today, one
nurse either side of her though, but she did
well.I don’t know what’s happening with Godolphin Jac, but having taken the time
to update my stable, I thought I would have had a winner or 2 at York but their
form seems to have gone out of the window. They have money to burn and probably
the best facilities both here and over in the Uae but they are not getting the
results that they should be getting with the class of horses they have.So embarrassingly, here are my pretty awful results, and I even missed the rare
Bonus Race last time.Points – 4970
Position – 525
Monthly swaps left – 4August 20, 2026 at 13:21 #1773783Graham don’t worry about the Godolphin Fantasy Results at all..
I’ve been following the leader Blue Point like a Hawk and they have had more than their fair share of swaps this month.
I used my last swap putting in Ombudsman and City Queen (winner) yesterday and calculated that Blue Point was also put of swaps but they managed another one even without Godolphin giving us any Bonus Swaps for York…😐 Godolphin must have known they would not do well there this week.Sorry not been on here too much but like Nick really busy with Grandkids this week and tomorrow Chris,Helen and girls off to California for 10 days taking in Disney, San Francisco Alcatraz and all the sights.
I am on Wilson duty with Helen’s mum as he is staying at home..he would hate kennels..we are going to spoil him. ❤️ 🍖🥩😋All love to Marjorie and her ongoing recovery ..don’t say anything but I have taken 50/1 AP on her winning the Champion Hurdle next March.🤣
Good luck in the Comps today and well done Andre being up there on the Podium yesterday..🐎🏆👍 Jac x
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 20, 2026 at 13:39 #1773793have a great time with grand kids Jac, got a day off today but you never know with little mollie the door could come crashing open and her shouting take me swimming
Good luck everyone got my four for today just going to double bolt the door. lol
August 20, 2026 at 14:34 #1773806Enjoy every moment of time with your grand-kids Jac. & of course with the lovely Wilson. I’m sure he will be spoiled rotten while “his people” are away!
I just watched Sun Goddess win the second – wow, so very impressive! Slow start, boxed in, jostled… came around and stormed clear!
Good luck with any bets and comp selections today. I’m thrilled to be in the leading group after day one. We’ll see how my stamina holds up by the end of the week.
Hope you get a day off Nick
Oh very sneaky bet for the Champion Hurdle Jac!
I might have to see if those odds are still available here.August 20, 2026 at 14:51 #1773810Thanks Euro, just watched Sun Godness that was some last furlong, hope all is well with you mate.
August 21, 2026 at 18:23 #1773984Sun Goddess was the best at the meeting so far..she must have sprouted wings. 🐎💫🌟
Graham..
What a fantastic day you had today leaping up the Leaderboard and landing on the Podium with Nathan and of course the fantastic Mrs Raymo ‘Queen Of Wellies’ 👑 👢. It’s going to be hard to catch any of you tomorrow unless a 200/1 shot turns up..🤪🤑🙏 but Andre and I will be trying won’t we Andre?..
😅Off to sharpen my lucky pin 📌 and fingers crossed for another great day….Jac 🐎💫🏆 xx
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 22, 2026 at 14:17 #1774120Love to see our Graham right there in contention, although Tracey will be hard to catch, she has a nice lead. The Wellington has certainly turned these competitions “upside down” – anything can happen if you get a good Wellington.
We’ve got our work cut out for us Jac – hopefully we can put up a good show at least!
Did Chris and family make it safely to the US? I’m sure the spoiling of Wilson is already in full swing!
Good Luck with any bets and comp selections today!!
August 22, 2026 at 16:13 #1774139Andre
Yes thank you Chris and Family landed safely at San Francisco around midnight last night..we watched the landing via the camera on the undercarriage of the aircraft..and the view coming into landing was stunning.
They are now in Santa Rosa staying with his old schoolfriend and wife who live there, for 3 days, then off to the LA Disney resort Hotel for 4 nights and then to San Francisco sight seeing and visiting Alcatraz..
My granddaughters are buzzing with excitement .. 🤪😜 JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 22, 2026 at 16:19 #1774140Eyecatcher from last weeks grey horse race running in the last race at Newmarket – 5.04
5.04 Newmarket – Maelstrom – 5/1
Got into all sorts of trouble in the grey horse race won by by Havana Blue ..he really got badly hampered and was then running on at the finish..he has a really good chance of winning the lucky last at HQ this afternoon. 👍👍👍🐎🏆 Jac

He did it
Maelstrom my grey horse comes home first in the last at 5/1 :He even got himself hampered again at the start.
I forgot to put him in my Select 3 horses with so much going on at York but he’s saved my day..🐎🎁💫💞
Hope you saw it..I only just realised he was running an hour ago. I would have been there today but of course, was looking after Wilson..I had a good last race bet on though 💫🐎 xx
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 22, 2026 at 22:25 #1774192Thanks Jac. I’ve had an awful York and even had to put £5 into my poor betting account which has suffered from months of mug betting. But I put a huge bet by my standards 10 pence ew on Maelstrom ( which seemed like a fitting name for my current betting record) completely forgot about it till just now and found I’d won 83 pence! Woohoo!
August 22, 2026 at 22:49 #1774194Moe..
I can go to bed happy now.
So glad you saw it and had a flutter.
I haven’t put a tip up on here for ages and glad he came in for you and topped up your account a little.💰Apart from Notable Speech I didn’t have a winner at York today so Maelstrom saved the day for me. Jac 🐎🏆x
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 23, 2026 at 02:15 #1774196The Ebor used to be my favourite race when it was ran on the Wednesday. But since it started to be won by better class horses I can’t seem to find the winner. Annoyingly I always used to back Alan Kings Saturday horses when he had just a few runners on the flat but ignored his runner today, even though it scored 15/15 on the OLBG stats page.
August 23, 2026 at 14:42 #1774227Hi Jac – Chris and family are going to have an amazingly wonderful time. I can only imagine how excited your granddaughters are!
Wait now, you did what….. you watched the landing from a camera on the plane? Is this a new thing – I’ve never heard of being able to do that before?
I’m glad Maelstrom got you out of trouble today!
August 23, 2026 at 23:37 #1774254They are Andre..Today they visited a Nature reserve in Santa Rosa and walked amongst the Redwood Trees..just received their photos and it looks amazing. There was a Redwood tree called Colonel Armstrong 1400 years old, 308 feet high and 14.6 feet in diameter.
Filming of the landing is indeed incredible and they got to see the plane fly over Golden Gate Bridge and a quick glimpse of Alcatraz Island where they will be visiting in a few days…as tourists of course 🤣 😂
Here is a some info I found about the in flight landing/take off cameras:-Virgin Atlantic features external aircraft cameras on select modern planes like the Airbus A350 and Boeing 787, allowing passengers to watch live takeoff and landing views directly from their seat-back entertainment screens.
Maelstrom really saved my day..and Moe’s by the sound of it..I didn’t really make a profit on the week but managed to win back what I had staked from Wednesday to Saturday.
Hope you did better than me Andre..
Jac x
