Was a long wait Jac :negative: SBS had a winner last week and as you say Passion and Glory ran a blinder, maybe a few of his maybe over priced in coming weeks (but not long left of carnival)
Cant work out the run of Arabian Crown, usually makes it and was never put in the race, i wont rush to write him of just yet

Hopefully turned the corner now for the main event in April

It was almost like they were being careful with him Nick I think he’ll improve on that run he’s better than that.
Take nothing away from Silver Knott though that was a cut above.
Good luck with your Boxing bets this weekend.. :good: Jac x

boxing out of luck first one copped then Garner won 120-108 but just couldn’t get the stoppage. Be watching garner since his debit at York Hall and he could well win a small version of a World title one day.

Very well done Jac getting into the top 100 :good:

I’ve made a bit of a mess miscounting the weeks that were left, but I’ll
struggle on and hope Godolphin go nuts and have a week with 20 or more
runners. More chance of me being able to climb to the top of the Wallace
Monument (and I have done) so I’ll keep going, and pretend I’m not concerned
about living 10 miles from the UK Neuclear submarine plant

    Points 3810
    Position 412
    Swaps 3…and another one

Good morning all I hope you are all well it’s spring already and I’m loving it being warm already won’t be long before the North Sea’s urgings are accepted and I take a dip.
I’ve not seen a race of any code for a while and I guess Cheltenham will the racing that finally engages me away from gardening briefly. Big G I’ll be in touch shortly by pm. Jac sorry I haven’t been in touch but things have been a bit busy. Lots going on and long term and short term planning is beginning to pay off with the book beginning to take shape with the illustrator coming up with some great interpretations of my poetry. There is a lot to do, much more than I thought or actually maybe just as much as I thought!! We will get there but it will come when it comes. I’m doing a stand up “open mike” recital in a pub in Ipswich on Tuesday night then another one at a storytelling night at the Dive Inn Saint Helen’s street Ipswich on march 18 th
It all builds up and I’m changing from reading them off my phone the way I’ve composed them all to having clear printed sheets to read from. Iknow the poems well and part read them part recite them off by heart it’s great be able to look at the audience, it becomes a little more animated each time, then you realise your arms are moving then your body and slowly it becomes a performance almost a dance but not quite.
I’ve got some back pay due from a client which has built up so next month I’m hoping to be “flush” which means I’m definitely going to the Craven meeting at HQ and look forward to seeing you there.

No Chelters this time round but I’ve ticked that one off my list now.
Hopefully I’ll be revisiting the Tree thread this month with a weekly short entry for march yesterday marked a year since starting my volunteer gardener position and the contrasts in me between now and then are stark. I’ve developed and although I’m yet to invest in either a calendar or a diary much of the coming months are mapping themselves out already. More about that on the Tree 🌲 thread. Best wishes everyone 👍.

    Good Morning to everybody

I scored well in the racing on Saturday with my swap and Bonus Race.

However it would appear that I was not the only one and my ranking
went the wrong way. My score for the day was 1,100 and 200 Bonus Points.

Bringing the total to 4,900 Points and a rank of 220 with still 3 swaps
    left to use.

It is going to be interesting to see what happens with the Godolphin
3-Y-O’s in the 2000 Guineas. The start of the Flat is only about 4
weeks away. Of course the Cheltenham Festival starts on Tuesday March 11th
so much to look forward too. :yahoo: :yahoo:

    Many Thanks :good: :bye:

Wow! Well done Jac – getting into the Top 100 in Godolphin is quite the achievement. :yahoo: Keep it going!

I’m sitting a lowly 4,500 pts & 301st overall with two swaps remaining.

The total MAGA $hit show hit an all time low on Friday. What a total embarrassment and a disgrace. I have no words, well I do but…… There is no end to how irresponsible and dangerous this lunatic is. I saw a speech earlier today given by Mette Frederiksen, the Danish PM. What a strong woman and leader she is.

We are also seeing outbreaks of the Measles here. The anti-vaxxer cult is surely to blame, putting everyone at risk.

Rant over – Thanks for listening to me vent.

On a different note, Cheltenham is about 10 days away. The best week of racing of the year. Looking forward to the Cheltenham comp as always.

I hope everyone is doing well.
Stay Safe & good luck with all your bets.

    Totally agree Andre. :good:
My heart went out to Zelensky on Friday it was a total insult to a man who is a hero in his country. Trump was totally out of order losing his temper like that on camera and Zelensky had to respond in English because he had chosen to negotiate without an interpretor.

Stay safe with all those measles germs flying about, I think the people that have been brainwashed into thinking the vaccine is unsafe have a great responsibility on their shoulders for the virus spreading.

Looking forward the The Raymo’s Cheltenham competition and 5 days of top class racing. I’m going to my friend Maggies for the first day of action. She always provides the commentary when I can’t watch the horses jumping..🤣😅

    Not long now..stay safe :good:

“My heart went out to Zelensky on Friday it was a total insult to a man who is a hero in his country.”

It was a rude awakening for him Jac. I think it was Drone that said that a more thick skinned
politician would know how to handle it. If there’s anyone who is going to get under your skin
in about 2 minutes, it’s Trump. He’s like a blood sucking leech who is only interested in you
if he wants something from you. He doesn’t care that Zelensky has been putting himself in the
front line to raise his troops spirits. He’s the type of man Churchill would have been proud of.

Unfortunately he (Trump) also happens to be the most powerful person on the planet. There are no
two ways you can deal with Trump and Starmer knew exactly how to play it. He must have been biting
his lip, but he knew what had to be done if he was to achieve anything.

There are over 340 Million people in the USA, how on earth did a man like Trump achieve the highest
honour the Americans can give. I think he frightens me just about as much as Putin and Kim Jong Un
put together. I’m almost wishing the next 4 years away, but is another monster waiting in the wings

I purposely didn’t do as many ante post this year Darren.
On thr few I did, it’s been a mixed bag. I had Anzadam in
the Champion Hurdle, but he’s now out for the season. I do
have Palladium in the Triumph at 14/1, he hasn’t moved much.
I really fancied Jango Baie for the Brown Advisory, I wrote
“There’s no way he’s going to the Arkle”, so where does he
    go?…The Arkle

I took Rockys Diamond in the Stayers at 14/1, I see a couple
of firms are out to 16s. My big hope for a huge priced winner in
the Gold Cup is Ahoy Senor at 100/1. If he runs the way he did last
year, he was bowling along nicely in the front when he knucked under and
came down with 5 to go. I’m sure he would have at worst been placed.

That’s all I can bring to mind Darren, I’ll wait until the day before
    other betting. :good:

Here here Graham.. Worrying that a man, who happens to be the most powerful in the World, can spin on a sixpence and deny things that he publicly said in the past 24 hours is a dangerous man. He’s literally playing Russian Roulette with people’s lives and constantly needs his ego fanned by his sycophantic followers.
It’s Trump who needs to apologise to Zelensky not the other way round.
Putin must be laughing his socks off at what’s playing out on the workd stage..
It’s unbelievable Zelensky is being bullied in public and he deserves better.
    Great Post Graham… :good: Jac

    GODOLPHIN FANTASY LEAGUE LEADERBOARD
    – TUESDAY 4TH MARCH 2025

    JAC (Triptych) – 5840 – 79th
    John Gooch – 4900 – 220th
    Catherine (Tonge) – 4810 – 238th
    Andre (Euroalien) – 4500 – 301st
    Graham (BigG) – 3810 – 412th

There were 2400 points available at Meydan’s Super Saturday including 600 Bonus Points..it really was the day to get those swaps working for you. :good:

Some nice pointers to Dubai World Cup Night…Imperial Emperors impressive win will most probably see him line up in the Dubai World Cup with Nation’s Pride going for the Dubai Turf.

Ruling Court made his mark on Saturday and Charlie Appleby stated he would be looking to put him away now until his European flat campaign.
Silver Knott has earned his place in the Sheema Classic but will he run with the possibility of Rebel’s Romance returning to defend his title.
Don’t rule out improvement from Arabian Crown 3rd to Silver Knott who IMO was gently treated :good:

First winner of the day Mountain Breeze showed her class in the first Carnival race of the day and after the race in an interview with Meg Nichols Charlie Appleby said they were considering the French Guineas as her next target. Personally hope she comes to Newmarket and takes on Lake Victoria and Arabian Dusk again. :good:

Best of luck in the final two Fridays and then a break to World Cup Night on April 5th Grand National day..what a weekend that will be.

Graham still has 4 x swaps remaining so expecting a huge dash up the Leaderboard in the next few weeks.. :yahoo: 😀
    Jac
    :bye:

    Thanks Nick :good:
Hope it helps us make some decisions on the big day.

I think this Fridays meeting is very low key with a few SBS horses making another appearances but not many from the Appleby yard.

Friday 14th March is billed as their Gold Cup Day and expect a good turnout for that. Then it’s a 3 week wait until April 5th when the Carnival comes to town. :yahoo: Expect some old international campaigners like Rebels Romance to be there for the Sheema Classic and will Silver Knott run? I hope so.

Good luck for Friday looking out for a price for Mysterious Night and Al Salt in the 5th Race of the evening (Group 3).
Any clues on prices yet Nick?
    :good: Jac
