Adellabella- 6/4 – WINShe’s one of my notebook horses from her last run at Newmarket. She won best turned out and looked amazing.

How’s your knee Graham? Hopefully a little better…. How’s Dave doing Jac?
Good Luck with any bets and comp picks today! Big match-up in the first leg of the cup final. It’s coming home!!
Not even sure what’s going on with the Godolphin comp – I can’t remember how many transfers I have left – at least two.
Take Care Everyone!!
August 31, 2024 at 17:16 #1706187It could be better Andre, my GP came out to see me at home, when was the last time
you heard of that? The nurse who keeps an eye on things contacted my GP and said she
wasn’t too happy with the leg, GP came out and it couldn’t have been more than an hour
when Inverclyde Hosp phoned and asked me to be in for 12 noon on the next day. My left
calf and thigh are are much bigger than my right. Gp has put me on antibiotics and also
for the pain I’m on Oramorph and tramadol. He thinks I’ve got an infection in my leg so
I’m pleased that the nurse called my GP out and I’m on my 2nd day of antibiotics. If I didn’t have bad luck I wouldn’t have any luck at all (apart from the horses and golf
of late) However my pain is managed better which is a relief.August 31, 2024 at 17:50 #1706190Well done Jac on your 1st leg lead..
We’ll do well to match that next week…🎯Blackbeard to conquer the World
August 31, 2024 at 18:24 #1706195Thanks Nathan It’s been a long time since I had a score like that.
We had 6 decent winners today and you were very unlucky not to get your Nap home she ran so well.Yes we’ll be struggling to top those scores next Saturday but it’s been a lot of fun so far..Best of luck
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 31, 2024 at 18:41 #1706197Graham.so sorry that you are still having a lot of pain to manage in that leg. Hope the antibiotics kick in and the swelling and infection goes away fast. You have certainly been through the mill lately and thank goodness your sports bets are keeping your mind occupied, keep picking those big price winners.
Andre..Dave is getting on okay..ish. He stopped taking the meds that were making him dizzy, weak and exhausted and seems to be picking up. We haven’t had a holiday this year or been able to go out that much but I’m still going to Newmarket when I
can and Dave is happy that I do that.
Somehow, managed to find 3 winning horses today for the 3 Horses comp..which were also my Daylight selections.😁Talking of comps Andre I will put up the the Godolphin scoreboard tomorrow.
It’s been so low key this year hardly any Godolphin horses have run in the UK for a while.
I have 3 swaps left
5300 points
534th position

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 1, 2024 at 00:55 #1706211Exactly when are Paddy Power going to get the message that Big Gossey is more than
a very good handicapper. He’s playing on his own pitch and drawn on the right side
of the track, and not only did they offer him at 33/1, they did a power up to 40/1
6 places. He was 5th carrying top weight and made up 5 places in the last 1/2 f.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, he’s a constant source of income to me at
the Curragh. Bless your cotton socks Paddy ……..P

September 1, 2024 at 10:59 #1706227September 1, 2024 at 11:19 #1706229Sorry to hear about your continuing health struggles Graham. A house call from a Dr?? I remember getting one or two when I was a kid….. maybe around 50 or so years ago! Hopefully the anti-biotics will kick in soon and they’ll get you sorted. Glad to hear they’ve at least got the pain managed. Hang in there and keep the bookie bashing going!!
Jac, Hopefully Dave will do better now he’s off the meds that were making him dizzy, etc. I’m glad you can get away to Newmarket when you can. How many more meetings are there this year? Great results in the comps for you today. Well done!
Nathan – we all know you’re capable of putting up a huge score in comps. The second leg should be exciting.
In the Godolphin Comp I’m on 6,500pts & 366th overall. 3 Swaps still remain.
Take Care All.

JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 1, 2024 at 21:13 #1706252I worked at our local surgery at a time when doctors would be on call all night and then have to turn up for work the next morning. I used to have extra strong coffee waiting for them. Seems like a different era now!
