I’m currently watching a comedy on BBC catchup called Daddy Issues with David Morrissey. It’s incredibly rude but for some reason I’m loving it. I need to cheer myself because I’ve fallen foul of an internet scam company and am having to chase my money up ( thankfully not too much….). I don’t know how some people can sleep at night or how trading standards can be so useless when so many people have reported them grrr.
August 17, 2024 at 13:59 #1704810I hope everyone is doing well (or better).
Hopefully things are getting a little easier for you Graham. Can’t help you to much with good TV shows. Haven’t watched to many shows lately. I have heard good things about Killing Eve. Only Murders in the Building is pretty good as well.
Have a wonderful day at Newmarket Jac. Hope you find a few winners! Glad to hear that Dave is doing better after the latest scare.
We have a couple of weekend with no craft shows, so I can watch some football and a little racing too!
Good Luck with any bets and all your comp picks! Hope you can find a way to get a W in the Daylight Cup Jac.
Take Care Everyone!
PS – I might need a new cliff horse, as I think Ropey Guest has been retired!

August 20, 2024 at 03:23 #1704991Oh Moe, an internet scam. These people truly are the scum of the earth.
I hope your bank/credit card can get on to them quickly, you should get
it all back. Don’t go thinking you are stupid Moe, thousands are caught
out each day, these swine can be so plausible. Thanks Andre, it’s hard going but I’ll just keep at it and get myself mobile
again. Patience is a virtue, or so they say, I’m definitely not good at that
one. I’ve seen Killing Eve, terrific performances all round. I’ve not heard of
Only Murders In The Building. I’ll have to give it a lookAugust 20, 2024 at 17:11 #1705034I’ve got away with it. The dodgy company did send me my plastic boxes. I ordered some more from the good company that the dodgy company are mimicking ( it was set up by someone that used to work for them who copied their website as much as possible; they’re the ones that warned me that I might never get the first order). Anyway my boxes arrived on time, within 2 days, had confirmation email, tracking etc. Beautifully packaged ( have now got two fantastic huge cardboard boxes to add to my collection). Dodgy companies boxes arrived with no warning, no email, no tracking, held together with bits of sticky tape. But I have got them. In fact I can’t move for plastic boxes and might have to set up my own plastic box selling company! Their review on Trustpilot is damning ( why didn’t I check up on them prior to ordering?). Maybe they sent my boxes because I’d been messaging, emailing them (emails returned unknown, messages unanswered, phone number dead as a dodo…)because I’d been threatening them with hell fire and damnation! Now to start filling them with stuff like eg twenty years worth of racing videos and newspaper cuttings!
August 20, 2024 at 23:39 #1705070Just checking in to wish all good luck in the York competition, just about to put in my entries.
Hope you are continuing to improve Graham and have found some good box sets to watch .
Moe how dreadful to get scammed like that, we click on all sorts of things when we are browsing the web and it’s
so easy to get drawn in.Andre hope the craft fayres are going well and that you have a little time to sit back and watch the racing at
York this week.I’ll be at Colchester Castle tomorrow with my two granddaughters (Christopher’s girls) and no doubt will be
trying to find my way out of a dungeon as the Juddmonte kicks off , but I will catch up with it all later and
have kept Thursday and Friday free to watch. Saturday will be at Newmarket for the last day on the July Course.Have also subbed in two new horses for the Ten To Follow as we only have until 11.00am tomorrow and I didn’t want to risk leaving it that late.
Good luck with your bets at York tomorrow Darren….
My main bet is in the first 1.50 Pilgrim my NAP in the competition. He’s a game little grey and hope to see him
thereabouts. Boom or bust…lol
Have fun
Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 21, 2024 at 11:54 #1705159Good Luck with any bets and all your York comp selections today. I’ll be busy most of the day, so I won’t get to watch any of racing live. I’ll catch up later though. Who knows maybe my selections will run better without me watching them!
Have fun at Colchester Castle Jac!
Hope everyone else is doing well!
August 22, 2024 at 08:45 #1705344have a great time with the grand kids Jac, no sneaking off to watch the racing 😉
Hope all is well Big G and you are getting on the mend
Best of luck to day at York played a few myself
August 22, 2024 at 18:15 #1705447Thanks Nick we had a great day in the dungeons at Colchester Castle and up on the roof looking over the City. The girls had a great day out and I caught up with the racing later when I got home.
Well done with your winner Content today in the Yorkshire Oaks..My horse Queen Of The Pride ran like something was amiss as she started well but gradually faded to last place..that wasn’t her today and hope she’ll be back.Graham what a fantastic 22/1 Nap Diligently putting you right up there with the leaders… Well done.
I’m struggling on 56 points at the moment but will try to turn it around tomorrow..I had two beaten on the line today and the rest must have sloped back to their stables mid race.
Best of luck tomorrow and especially to Andre ..Let’s give those bookies a bashing.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 22, 2024 at 18:39 #1705450Thanks for all the goodwill coming my way re my knee recovery.
It’s a slow process but I’ll get there. I go for physiotherapy
tomorrow so I won’t see any of the races with all the travel,
I’ll Catch up when I get home. Thanks Jac, I really fancied Diligently. If you watch his last
race at Sandown he was travelling like a winner when he had
2 horses come in on him and he had to pull back. Clive Cox
is brilliant with his sprinters and had won this race before.
I couldn’t believe his 50/1 odds this morning, I took a 4 figure
sum out of Bet365 and more from the Exchange where I took him
on the nose at 63/1 and 59/1. It was my biggest win this yearI’ve also got Rasmus Hojgaard at 34/1 to be 1st round leader
in the Danish Golf Championship. It’s still ongoing but I’m
pretty sure he can’t be caught. If only every day was like thisGood luck tomorrow everyone, it just shows what one day can do. Nobody
is out of this yetAugust 23, 2024 at 08:20 #1705511that winner helped the recovery process BigG well played
Glad you had a great time Jac
August 23, 2024 at 09:04 #1705520I think you’re right Nick, it had me on a high and I guess all
the positive surges running through my body must have gone towards
helping my knee. It certainly took my mind off it for a while.I hope all is well with you Nick
August 23, 2024 at 09:15 #1705522I’ve backed all my compy horses but in particular I’ve been
hoovering up all the decent prices on Azure Blue in the 3.35.
I took Paddy’s 25s, I see he’s cut it to 20/1 now. I’ve jumped
on various prices on the exchange from 30s to 25s. I reckon he
should be in single figures. Maybe yesterday was my day but you
never know, lightning might strike twiceAugust 23, 2024 at 09:43 #1705526Good Morning to everyone
BigG – Once again I am pleased to see you are doing
well with your Golf Bets and that you are now going
for physiotherapy on your knee. Also your other bets
on the horses are going so well. Will try and update my scores on the Godolphin competition
after the weekend (not much to report at the moment)Many Thanks
August 23, 2024 at 10:13 #1705535What great prices you got for Diligently Graham that truly must have gone to your knees, I bet you were jumping up and down yesterday. Best of luck with Azure Blue today and your golf bets.
John the Godolphin compy has gone a little flat at the moment but I will get those scoreboards up after York and sometime next week. Not too much going on in the UK but I think they are having success on he international scene.
Best of luck to all of us today I need to dig myself out of a hole that I keep slipping into before the Daylight Comp but today at York looks a tricky card so I’m just crossing everything and hoping for a couple of winners.
Take care
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 23, 2024 at 13:34 #1705570Big G. Have you had a total knee replacement? I’m heading towards needing one but when I see how long recuperation takes it worries me. Although Mike and I spend a lot of time together we don’t live together and I’d have to have a massive rethink about the layout of my house.
